Working within the client’s Intelligent Networks & Infrastructure functional area, the consultant will support day-to-day server operations, infrastructure configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical activities required to maintain reliable enterprise systems.\nThis is a hands-on, technically focused role suited to a junior-level infrastructure professional with practical Windows Server administration experience and an interest in expanding their expertise across cloud and virtualization technologies. The position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and collaboration with infrastructure specialists, technical teams, and operational stakeholders.\n\nABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nProvide day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance, and operational support for enterprise Windows Server environments.\nInstall, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems and associated infrastructure components.\nMonitor server availability, performance, capacity, and overall operational health.\nInvestigate and resolve server-related incidents, technical issues, and infrastructure performance concerns.\nSupport routine server maintenance activities, including operating system updates, patching, and configuration changes.\nAssist with provisioning, configuration, and ongoing administration of physical and virtual Windows servers.\nSupport server virtualization environments and associated infrastructure technologies.\nAssist with Microsoft Azure-hosted Windows Server environments and related cloud infrastructure activities.\nParticipate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, maintenance activities, and operational improvements.\nSupport system access, permissions, configuration standards, and established security practices.\nWork collaboratively with infrastructure, networking, storage, and security teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.\nAssist with infrastructure monitoring, problem identification, root-cause analysis, and incident resolution.\nMaintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting records.\nFollow established change management, incident management, and infrastructure support processes.\nSupport infrastructure testing, validation, and implementation activities as required.\nProvide technical assistance and operational support to ensure the continued reliability and availability of enterprise server systems.\nParticipate in scheduled infrastructure maintenance activities, including occasional work outside regular business hours when required.\nREQUIREMENTS – Must-have\n\nHands-on experience configuring and administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.\nPractical knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.\nUnderstanding of enterprise server infrastructure and associated operational support activities.\nExperience investigating and resolving Windows Server technical issues.\nFamiliarity with server administration tools, system monitoring, and performance troubleshooting.\nUnderstanding of Windows Server security, access management, system updates, and configuration practices.\nAbility to support infrastructure maintenance, operational changes, and technical documentation.\nStrong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and operational teams.\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage assigned technical activities.\nAbility to work independently on assigned tasks while contributing effectively within an enterprise infrastructure team.\nAbility to work onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan, on a full-time basis.\nAvailability to work outside normal business hours when operational requirements dictate.\nREQUIREMENTS – Nice-to-have\n\nExperience administering Windows Server environments hosted in Microsoft Azure.\nExperience with server virtualization technologies and multiple virtualization platforms.\nFamiliarity with VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, or comparable enterprise virtualization technologies.\nExposure to virtual machine provisioning, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.\nUnderstanding of hybrid infrastructure environments integrating on-premises and cloud-based server systems.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Windows infrastructure services.\nExperience with Windows Server patch management, monitoring, and maintenance tools.\nFamiliarity with PowerShell scripting or other infrastructure automation tools.\nExposure to enterprise storage, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery practices.\nUnderstanding of ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes.\nMicrosoft certifications related to Windows Server, Azure, or infrastructure administration.\nDiploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a related technical discipline.\nPrevious experience supporting enterprise infrastructure within a large organization.\nUtility, energy sector, or other regulated industry
