and laboratory professionals to address complex analytical challenges.\nAs part of the Software Development organization, the Software Development Coordinator will provide administrative, organizational, and project coordination support to the Software Management team.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with software development teams and other business functions to coordinate activities, track progress, maintain documentation, and facilitate communication between stakeholders.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to gain experience in a technology-focused environment while developing valuable project coordination and organizational skills.\n\nABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nAssist the Software Management team with the planning, coordination, and execution of departmental activities and tasks.\nCoordinate with software development team members and other stakeholders to ensure activities and milestones remain on track.\nMonitor task progress, follow up on outstanding items, and identify potential delays or issues.\nMaintain task lists, schedules, action items, and other tracking documents.\nServe as a point of contact between team members, departments, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.\nSchedule, organize, and support team meetings, including project kick-offs, status updates, and retrospectives.\nPrepare meeting agendas, capture notes and action items, and follow up on assigned activities.\nPrepare and distribute status reports, project documentation, and other relevant materials.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and change logs.\nEnsure documentation is organized, accessible, and available to relevant team members.\nSupport the coordination of competing priorities and changing departmental requirements.\nAssist with identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes, communication, and team coordination.\nABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS\n\nExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to track tasks, maintain schedules, and follow up on outstanding activities.\nA proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize when issues require escalation.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nCollege diploma, university degree, or equivalent education or experience in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.\nPrevious administrative, team coordination, or project support experience.\nExposure to software development teams or technology-focused environments.\nFamiliarity with project management or task-tracking tools.\nExperience preparing meeting minutes, status reports, schedules, or project documentation.\nAn interest in software development, technology, or project management.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nThis is an initial 6-month contract opportunity based at our client’s North Toronto location, with a strong possibility of longer-term extensions.\nThe position is well suited to an organized, detail-oriented individual who enjoys coordinating activities, supporting teams, and keeping tasks on track.\nPrevious software development experience is not required.
