With offices across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, we are dedicated exclusively to sustainability-focused work.\nRole Overview\nWe are seeking an Associate Manager or Manager to help deliver high-impact projects across SYSTEMIQ's Nature & Food platform in Indonesia and the wider Asian region.\nWorking with governments, businesses, financial institutions, development partners and civil society, you will tackle complex challenges at the intersection of sustainable development, economic growth and systems transformation. Depending on project priorities, your work may span sustainable finance, labour markets, workforce development, skills systems, food systems and nature-positive growth.\nThis role is suited to an experienced consultant who combines structured problem-solving with strong stakeholder management and project leadership. You will lead significant workstreams, manage senior relationships, coach junior colleagues and help translate analysis into practical recommendations that create real-world impact.\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Delivery\nLead complex project workstreams from problem definition through to delivery.\nStructure analyses, develop insights and deliver high-quality outputs.\nTranslate evidence into practical recommendations for clients and partners.\nContribute to project planning, quality assurance and delivery.\nStakeholder Engagement\nBuild trusted relationships with clients and partners across government, finance, business, NGOs and development organisations.\nFacilitate workshops and multi-stakeholder discussions.\nHelp align diverse stakeholders around shared objectives.\nTeam & Platform Contribution\nCoach Associates and Senior Associates.\nContribute to proposals, business development and thought leadership.\nFoster a collaborative, entrepreneurial team culture.\nUse AI tools responsibly to enhance research, analysis and communication.\nCandidate Profile\nWe are looking for an intellectually curious, impact-driven consultant who enjoys solving complex problems and working across disciplines.\nYou will be comfortable leading workstreams, managing senior stakeholders and delivering high-quality analysis in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.\nEssential Experience\nMaster's degree or equivalent in economics, finance, public policy, international development, sustainability, agriculture, environmental science or a related discipline.\nApproximately 6-8 years' experience in strategy consulting, sustainability, international development, finance, public policy or another project-based environment.\nStrong consulting toolkit, including structured problem-solving, analysis, synthesis and executive communication.\nExperience leading project workstreams and managing senior stakeholders.\nExperience in one or more of the following:\nSustainable or development finance\nLabour market policy\nWorkforce development, education or skills systems\nAgriculture, food systems or sustainability\nEconomic development or public policy\nExperience coaching junior colleagues.\nPractical experience using AI tools to support research, analysis and drafting.\nCore Capabilities\nExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong project management and organisational capability.\nExcellent written, verbal and presentation skills.\nStrong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.\nCollaborative leadership style, sound judgement and intellectual curiosity.\nDesirable\nExperience working in Kenya or East Africa.\nNetworks across government, development finance, sustainability, labour markets or food systems.\nExperience working with multi-stakeholder partnerships.\nExperience supporting proposals or business development.\nLocation & Right to Work\nThis role is based in Jakarta, Indonesia\nWe strongly encourage applications from Indonesian nationals or candidates with an existing legal right to work in Indonesia.
