Within the Space Missions and Sensing (SMS) Sector, we focus on advancing space sensing, space control, and counter-sensing technologies for critical national security missions.\nThe Role: Lead Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Engineer for Space Sensing\nIn this position, you will design, implement, and operate integrated simulation testbeds for advanced space and defense systems. Your work will include analyzing integrated system performance, developing and executing test plans, and defining system evaluation criteria. You will work closely with both research and software teams to integrate simulation and analysis tools and collaborate with customers to understand key challenges and needs.\nWhat you will do: \nDesign and apply cutting-edge models and simulation frameworks to support test and evaluation of algorithms, command & control systems, and deployed software solutions\nInteract closely with customers to understand needs & requirements and to communicate technical results\nLead diverse teams and technical leadership to understand system level requirements and broad objectives; summarize progress, report on findings and provide assessments.\nLead business development initiatives and proposal writing efforts, playing a key role in shaping the proposed technology solutions\nWho You Are: \nAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government\nBS + 8 years' experience, MS + 6 years, PhD + 2 years, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline\nExperience with space defense programs and modeling, sensor systems, platforms, and ground systems\nExperience in at least two of the following topics:\nRF/radar signal processing, optimization, waveform design, electronic warfare, machine learning, adaptive signal processing, AI/ML approaches to optimization, model & simulation, systems engineering, test engineering, radar modelling, optics modelling, orbital mechanics, space systems (propulsion, thermal, communications, GNC)\nExperience providing technical briefs to subcontractors, senior level executives, and customers\nProficiency in one or more scientific or mathematical programming languages, such as MATLAB, Python, and C/C++\nExperienced researcher and team member who is excited to work with mission partners to leverage cutting-edge technology and research for immediate impact\nExcellent communicator and briefer, who is comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences\nStrong mathematical, troubleshooting, written, and verbal communication skills\nEven Better:\nActive Secret or TS/SCI Clearance\nExperience with industry standard simulation tools such as AFSIM\nDemonstrated leadership of complex research, development, and engineering efforts \nAdvanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline \nAbility to apply novel, innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to challenging engineering problems \nJoin us and be part of a team that's making an impact at the forefront of technology and innovation.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $174,000 - $225,000\nThe salary range listed is based on external market data.
