STR is seeking a driven Senior Procurement Administrator to join our Contracts & Supply Chain team, supporting mission-critical defense and government programs.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead with Purpose: Spearhead strategic procurement operations that support high-priority defense and government initiatives.\nCollaborate Across Teams: Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Programs, Finance, Contracts, and Engineering to understand requirements, align procurement activities with program requirements and schedule to deliver solutions that drive mission success.\nBe the Go-To Expert: Tackle complex supply chain challenges for the DoW and Intelligence Community, providing deep expertise and innovative solutions.\nStrategically Partner: Align with program teams and Contracts & Supply Chain leadership to develop and present strategic sourcing plans, including supplier selection, risk assessments, and performance reviews.\nApply Critical Thinking: Use your analytical skills and resourcefulness to identify risks, resolve complex issues, and develop creative, compliant solutions.\nResponsibilities\nManage the full procurement lifecycle from planning through closeout in accordance with company policies, FAR, and DFARS.\nWork closely with business, technical, and functional stakeholders to support business growth objectives and strong program performance.\nDevelop and maintain effective external relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to support program objectives and strengthen STR’s business partnerships.\nConduct market research, supplier qualification, source selection, and cost/price reasonableness evaluations.\nUtilize purchasing and ERP systems to create and manage purchase orders and ensure compliance.\nMaintain accurate and complete procurement files and documentation in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company requirements.\nExperience using AI-enabled tools and a strong willingness to learn and apply AI to drive efficiency and improve quality and effectiveness in Contracts and Supply Chain processes.\nRecommend and help implement process improvements to scale and optimize procurement activities and practices.\nCommunicate effectively with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders; respond promptly to inquiries regarding order status, changes, and returns.\nRequirements:\nBachelor’s degree + 5 years of Federal procurement, purchasing, or contracting experience (or Master's degree + 3 years)\nAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance (for which US Citizenship is required)\nDemonstrated experience in negotiations and supplier management.\nExperience with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply federal acquisition policies in context.\nKnowledge of ITAR/EAR export controls and counterfeit parts prevention practices.\nCollaborative, self-motivated, and efficient, with strong business judgment and analytical skills; interest in optimizing procurement and contracting practices while maintaining compliance.\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with customers, partners, and colleagues at all levels.\nWillingness to expand expertise across other areas of Supply Chain as well as Contracts. \nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $93,000.00 - $117,000.00\nThe salary range listed is based on external market data.
