We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities :\nWeld and assemble different pieces by using hand held welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing)\n\nPrepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal\n\nTest and inspect welded components to ensure they meet set specifications before moving to the next department\n\nWork from different specifications and shop orders\n\nUtilize ruler, square, templates, and gauges to take and read measurements\n\nOperate cranes, hoists, and lift tables\n\nReport damages on machines and equipment; maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety\n\nReport all unsafe conditions to management\n\nMonitor/control the robotic welding process\n\nOperate robotic welding equipment to perform welding tasks\n\nPerform visual inspection of weld quality\n\nProgram robotic welding systems\n\nProvide work reports/feedback to supervisors or engineering teams\n\nSet up/prepare robotic welding equipment for operation\n\nTroubleshoot/resolve and recover from potential technical issues that may arise\n\nPerforms other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor\n\nComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.\n\nProtect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.\n\nMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.\n\nContribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nNo minimum education required\n\n1+ year of robotic welding experience required\n\nBasic knowledge of MIG welding, handheld plasma machines and cutting torches using cutting steel, acetylene and other cutting methods\n\nBasic knowledge of welding techniques, material characteristics, and structural fundamentals\n\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds\n\nAbility to stand, walk, and sit up\n\nAbility to use hand to finger, handle, or feel\n\nAbility to climb or balance\n\nAbility to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl\n\nAbility to reach with hands and arms\n\nAbility to talk or hear\n\nThe pay rate for this position is $21.50/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
