The role will provide direct supervision and oversight of both the piping fabrication supplier and the construction contractor, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, schedules, and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.\nThe Piping Supervisor will act as the primary field representative for piping construction activities, ensuring effective coordination between engineering, quality, fabrication, construction, commissioning and client teams.\nThe successful candidate will need to be open to working extended hours, backshift and nightshift, as per project requirements during busy periods.\nKey Responsibilities\nHealth, Safety and Environmental (HSE)\nChampion Technip Energies safety culture and ensure compliance with all site HSE policies and procedures.\nPromote proactive safety leadership through site engagement, toolbox talks, and safety observations.\nEnsure all works are executed in accordance with approved risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work systems.\nIdentify and escalate safety concerns and ensure corrective actions are implemented.\nParticipate in incident investigations and lessons learned activities where required.\nFabrication Supplier Supervision\nMonitor and supervise piping fabrication activities at supplier facilities.\nEnsure fabrication is performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project quality requirements.\nVerify progress against fabrication schedules and identify risks to delivery milestones.\nCoordinate inspections, audits, hold points and witness activities with Quality and Client representatives.\nReview fabrication performance and drive resolution of technical and quality issues.\nMonitor material traceability, welding compliance, NDT activities, and documentation requirements.\nSupport expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of fabricated pipework to site.\nConstruction Contractor Supervision\nDirectly supervise site piping installation activities performed by construction contractors.\nEnsure piping erection, fit-up, welding, supports installation, hydrotesting and reinstatement activities comply with project requirements.\nMonitor contractor productivity and performance against agreed schedules.\nCoordinate interfaces with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.\nVerify that construction work is carried out using approved procedures and construction work packs.\nSupport development and execution of construction plans, look-ahead schedules, and resource forecasts.\nMonitor contractor compliance with site quality and safety requirements.\nQuality Assurance & Quality Control\nEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.\nSupport inspection and test plan (ITP) implementation.\nParticipate in inspections, walkdowns, and punch-list management activities.\nDrive timely closure of quality non-conformances and corrective actions.\nPlanning & Progress Monitoring\nMonitor progress against construction and fabrication schedules.\nIdentify potential delays and implement mitigation measures.\nProvide accurate progress reporting to the Construction Management team.\nParticipate in daily coordination meetings, progress reviews, and contractor performance discussions.\nAssist with planning of work fronts to support efficient project execution.\nRequired Qualifications and Experience\nEssential\nHNC, HND, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.\nSignificant experience supervising piping fabrication and construction activities on major EPC industrial projects.\nExperience within power generation, petrochemical, oil & gas, LNG, carbon capture, energy transition or process plant environments.\nStrong knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, and testing requirements.\nExperience managing interfaces between fabrication suppliers and construction contractors.\nWorking knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards including ASME, EN, and applicable project specifications.\nDemonstrable understanding of welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and mechanical completion processes.\nStrong knowledge of construction quality management systems and inspection requirements.\nCSCS card or equivalent site qualification.\nDesirable\nPrevious experience on carbon capture, energy transition, or large-scale power projects.\nSSSTS or SMSTS certification.\nIOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualifications.\nExperience working within multinational EPC organisations.\nFamiliarity with completions and commissioning systems.\nKey
