This role serves as an experienced technical contributor who partners closely with Lead and Principal System Administrators to deliver secure, reliable, and modern end-user computing services.\nThe Senior System Administrator is expected to independently manage complex technical work, implement new technologies, support platform operations, and contribute to endpoint modernization initiatives. This role combines strong operational expertise with hands-on engineering skills to ensure endpoint platforms remain secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards.\nThis position requires significant experience supporting enterprise endpoint environments and the ability to troubleshoot, implement, automate, and optimize endpoint technologies at scale.\nResponsibilities\nEndpoint Engineering & Administration:\nAdminister and support enterprise endpoint management platforms. \nEngineer, deploy, and maintain endpoint technologies across the enterprise fleet. \nSupport Windows, macOS, virtual desktop, and cloud-based endpoint platforms. \nImplement endpoint configuration baselines, policies, and standards. \nSupport operating system lifecycle activities, including deployments, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning. \nPlatform Operations & Support:\nServe as a senior technical resource for endpoint operations and platform support. \nTroubleshoot and resolve complex endpoint issues. \nParticipate in root cause analysis and problem management activities. \nAssist with maintaining platform stability, performance, and availability. \nSupport incident response activities involving endpoint technologies. \nEndpoint Security & Compliance:\nSupport implementation and maintenance of endpoint security controls. \nAssist with vulnerability remediation efforts and compliance initiatives. \nSupport Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC), device compliance policies, and endpoint protection technologies. \nHelp maintain secure endpoint configurations and operational standards. \nPartner with Security teams to address identified risks and remediation activities. \nModern Workplace Technologies:\nParticipate in implementation of new End User Compute solutions and services. \nSupport endpoint modernization initiatives, including Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, Autopilot, Windows 365, virtual desktop platforms, and Digital Employee Experience solutions. \nAssist with solution testing, validation, deployment, and operational transition activities. \nAutomation & Continuous Improvement:\nDevelop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell and other scripting technologies. \nIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. \nCreate and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles. \nContribute to engineering best practices and platform standardization efforts. \nProject Participation:\nContribute to endpoint-focused projects and engineering initiatives. \nPerform technical implementation activities within established project plans. \nCollaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Service Desk, and other technology teams. \nSupport successful deployment and operationalization of new services and capabilities. \nQualifications\nRequired:\n5+ years of experience supporting enterprise endpoint environments. \nStrong experience administering Windows endpoint platforms. \nExperience with Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC), and PowerShell. \nExperience supporting endpoint security and compliance programs. \nExperience with operating system deployment, patching, and lifecycle management. \nStrong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills. \nAbility to independently manage technical assignments with limited oversight. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills. \nPreferred:\nExperience supporting global environments with 5,000+ endpoints. \nExperience with Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix. \nExperience with Microsoft Autopilot and modern device management. \nExperience with Nexthink, Tanium, CrowdStrike, or similar enterprise platforms. \nExperience in financial services or other regulated industries. \nMicrosoft, security, or endpoint management certifications. \nLeadership Expectations\nOperate as a trusted technical resource within the End User Compute team. \nIndependently execute complex engineering and operational tasks. \nMentor junior administrators and share technical knowledge. \nContribute to technical standards and operational improvements. \nBalance user experience, security, reliability, and operational efficiency. \nDrive continuous improvement through automation and process optimization. \nEscalate strategic or architectural concerns appropriately to Lead and Principal System Administrators. \nFINRA Requirements\nFINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.\nWork Flexibility\nThis role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to three days per week from home.\nBase Salary Ranges\nPlease review the job posting for the location of this specific opportunity.\n$96,500.00 - $164,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$105,000.00 - $180,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.\n$120,000.00 - $205,000.00 for the location of: New York, California\nPlacement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one componentof our total compensation package.
