Role DevOps Engineer EKS AWS
Specialist Level Experience 3 to 6 years with a solid foundation in AWS and production Kubernetes Job
Overview
We are looking for a mid to senior level DevOps Engineer to support the stability scalability and security of our AWS environment and Kubernetes clusters In this role you will focus on managing EKS and underlying infrastructure ensuring a reliable platform for development teams while collaborating closely with senior team members and the Head of DevOps on core implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Kubernetes Orchestration Assist in managing the health and configuration of AWS EKS clusters Contribute to cluster upgrades node group management ingress controllers and core add ons Infrastructure as Code Maintain and develop modular Terraform configurations to provision AWS resources VPCs RDS S3 IAM with a focus on high availability and security utilizing CI CD pipelines and Atlantis GitOps Operations Support application delivery to clusters using ArgoCD Monitor cluster state reconciliation and help troubleshoot deployment sync issues Resource Optimization Collaborate with development teams to right size Kubernetes workloads requests limits and assist in optimizing AWS spend Cloud Security Governance Apply IAM roles for service accounts IRSA security groups and network policies to help maintain a least privilege environment Observability Integration Utilize Datadog to monitor cluster health node performance and container metrics ensuring visibility into system performance Collaboration Serve as a reliable bridge between DevOps and Dev teams assist in troubleshooting infrastructure issues and contribute actively to the technical backlog under the guidance of the Head of DevOps.
Required Skills
Orchestration Solid experience with Kubernetes EKS including cluster lifecycle tasks and managing K8s manifests Cloud Provider Strong working knowledge of AWS services Networking VPC IAM RDS Compute SQS Eventbridge Lambda etc Infrastructure as Code Proven practical experience using Terraform in a production environment Continuous Deployment Practical understanding of GitOps principles and experience using ArgoCD Version Control Pipelines Familiarity with GitLab for Merge Requests MRs and experience executing building CI CD pipelines to publish software Language Proficiency in English Nice to Have Skills Monitoring Experience setting up or managing Datadog for Kubernetes monitoring and alerting Code Quality Artifacts Exposure to SonarQube and Artifactory within a containerized workflow Industry Experience working within the Manufacturing or Automotive sectors.
