This position supports equipment selection, installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements while working closely with maintenance, operations, and quality teams to minimize downtime and support safe, consistent production.\nKey Responsibilities\nEvaluate equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, productivity, and operating costs.\n\nTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in collaboration with maintenance personnel.\n\nLead root cause investigations for equipment failures and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.\n\nDevelop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.\n\nSupport the selection, purchase, installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.\n\nPrepare equipment specifications, technical documentation, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions.\n\nManage equipment upgrades and improvement projects, including schedules, budgets, and vendor coordination.\n\nAnalyze downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment performance data to prioritize improvements.\n\nWork with operations and quality teams to resolve equipment issues affecting product quality or production output.\n\nCoordinate with equipment manufacturers, contractors, and service providers.\n\nTrain maintenance and production personnel on equipment operation and troubleshooting.\n\nEnsure equipment designs and modifications meet applicable safety requirements and company standards.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.\n\nFive or more years of experience in equipment engineering, manufacturing engineering, maintenance engineering, or a related role.\n\nKnowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, electrical components, and automation.\n\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and electrical schematics.\n\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to manage projects and coordinate work across departments.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, or automated production equipment.\n\nFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).\n\nExperience with CAD software, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods.\n\nKnowledge of equipment reliability measures, including overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), mean time between failures (MTBF), and mean time to repair (MTTR).\n\nThe T1 Way\nWe move fast, expect accountability, and treat people with respect.
