We're focused on building advanced American manufacturing and we're passionate about engineering a better future filled with abundant energy.\nThe Role\nT1 Energy is looking to hire a Quality Manager to build and lead the quality management function at our G2 solar cell fab in Rockdale, Texas. This is a senior leadership role for a seasoned quality professional who has owned quality systems, led audits, and driven continuous improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment, and who holds the certifications to prove it.\nYou know IEC and ISO standards inside out. You've built quality programs that actually work, and you've held the line on product integrity even when production pressure was pushing the other way. At T1, you'll do it again, and you'll help build a quality culture from the ground up at G2.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn the Quality Management System (QMS) for the G2 solar cell fab, ensuring compliance with IEC and ISO standards across all operations.\n\nLead and develop a quality engineering team responsible for in-line inspection, final product release, and non-conformance management.\n\nEstablish and maintain quality control plans, inspection protocols, and acceptance criteria for all cell fab processes and products.\n\nDrive yield improvement and defect reduction through structured quality methodologies including SPC, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.\n\nLead internal and external audits, certification activities, and customer quality reviews.\n\nManage non-conformance, corrective action, and preventive action (CAPA) processes with urgency and rigor.\n\nPartner with Process, Equipment, and Production teams to embed quality controls into daily manufacturing operations.\n\nDevelop and maintain quality reporting, metrics, and dashboards for leadership visibility.\n\nSupport customer qualification activities and manage quality-related customer communications.\n\nEnsure product compliance with applicable IEC standards including IEC 61215 and IEC 61730.\n\nWho You Are\nA quality leader with deep expertise in IEC and ISO standards as applied to solar or semiconductor manufacturing.\n\nExperienced building and running quality management systems in high-volume, high-stakes environments.\n\nRigorous and methodical - you don't accept \"we think it's fine\" as a quality standard.\n\nA confident leader who can hold the line on quality without alienating the operations team.\n\nData-driven, with strong command of statistical quality tools and a track record of using them to drive real improvement.\n\nQualifications\n10+ years of quality management experience in solar, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing.\n\nIEC and/or ISO certification required; expertise in IEC 61215, IEC 61730, and ISO 9001 strongly preferred.\n\nDeep experience building and managing QMS programs in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\n\nProficiency in quality methodologies including SPC, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis.\n\nExperience leading internal and external audits and managing certification processes.\n\nProven ability to lead quality teams and drive cross-functional quality improvement initiatives.\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.\n\nThe T1 Way\nWe move fast, expect accountability, and treat people with respect.
