with\nqualified specialists when deeper expertise is required\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nEHS Program Management and Leadership\nLead site-level EHS programs focused on injury prevention, environmental protection, compliance, and\ncontinuous improvement.\nServe as primary EHS representative for safety execution, environmental compliance, emergency response,\nand incident management.\nIntegrate safety into operations across maintenance, vendor coordination, and critical facility activities.\nDrive proactive safety culture emphasizing hazard recognition, engagement, accountability, and behavioral\nimprovement.\nCollaborate with corporate and customer teams to identify risks, resolve gaps, and communicate\nperformance and corrective actions.\nRegulatory, Customer, and AHJ Compliance\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, local, company, customer, and AHJ requirements.\nMaintain required documentation including reports, logs, permits, and regulatory records.\nSupport audits and inspections and coordinate responses and corrective actions.\nMonitor regulatory obligations related to safety, environmental protection, hazardous materials, and\nemergency planning.\nRecommend mitigation strategies to improve compliance and reduce risk.\nCritical Facilities and Technical Operations Support\nProvide technical EHS support for electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, UPS, generators, cooling, and other\ncritical systems.\nReview and control high-risk work including LOTO, hot work, confined space, elevated work, and chemical\nhandling.\nSupport Permit to Work processes for maintenance and project activities\nParticipate in planning activities including JSAs, MOP reviews, risk assessments, and pre-task briefings\nSafety Policy, Procedure, and Program Implementation\nEnsure adherence to safety policies by employees, vendors, and contractors.\nDevelop and update EHS procedures and safe work practices.\nIdentify execution gaps and recommend corrective actions or training.\nSupport core safety programs including LOTO, hazard communication, PPE, ergonomics, and emergency\nplanning.\nPromote safety performance through coaching, education, and cultural engagement.\nTraining Compliance and License Tracking\nManage EHS training compliance including assignment, tracking, and documentation.\nCoordinate with training teams to ensure requirements are current and completed on time.\nConduct safety meetings and training including toolbox talks and stand-downs.\nTrack licenses and certifications including expirations and role-based qualifications.\nCommunicate training gaps and support corrective actions.\nIncident Command, Investigation, and Reporting\nLead incident command for safety, environmental, and operational emergencies.\nManage incident reporting including injuries, near misses, and environmental events.\nConduct investigations using root-cause methods and develop corrective actions.\nPrepare incident documentation including summaries, lessons learned, and customer updates.\nTrack corrective actions to closure and verify effectiveness.\nEmergency Response and Action Planning\nMaintain emergency action plans and response procedures.\nCoordinate drills and preparedness including evacuations, shelter-in-place, and severe weather planning.\nSupport emergency readiness for fire, medical, chemical, environmental, fuel, utility, and weather events.\nMaintain emergency supplies including spill kits, PPE, and response equipment.\nEvaluate drills and events to identify improvements and corrective actions.\nEnvironmental Compliance, Spill Response, and Hazardous Controls\nSupport environmental compliance including hazardous materials, waste handling, stormwater, air\npermitting, and fuel storage.\nMaintain environmental documentation including plans, inspections, logs, manifests, and permits.\nOversee spill response readiness and ensure proper controls and reporting.\nManage hazardous materials including SDS access, labeling, storage compatibility, and inventories.\nCoordinate environmental corrective actions with operations, vendors, and SMEs.\nContractor and Vendor Safety Management\nSupport contractor safety expectations for maintenance, repair, and project activities.\nReview contractor documentation including JSAs, permits, and training.\nParticipate in orientations and planning for high-risk work.\nMonitor contractor performance and escalate unsafe conditions or non-compliance.\nSupport contractor incident reviews and corrective actions.\nAudits, Inspections, Metrics, and Continuous Improvement\nConduct inspections and audits to identify hazards, gaps, and improvement opportunities.\nDocument findings and assign actions and track them to closure.\nMaintain EHS metrics and dashboards including leading and lagging indicators.\nAnalyze trends and recommend improvements to reduce risk and enhance performance.\nSupport management reviews and customer business reviews.\nMedical Screening, Workers’ Compensation, and Return-to-Work\nCoordinate medical screening programs per regulatory and customer requirements.\nSupport workers’ compensation processes including documentation, modified duty, and return-to-work.\nMaintain confidentiality for medical and personnel information.\nSupport early intervention to reduce injury severity and improve outcomes.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nSupport corporate and customer EHS initiatives and communicate lessons learned and best practices.\nAssist with operational readiness transitions, program rollouts, and continuous improvement.\nPerform other duties as assigned by EHS or account leadership.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nMinimum of 3 years of Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance experience, preferably in facilities\noperations, critical environments, data centers, industrial operations, manufacturing, utilities, construction,\nor another technical environment.\nWorking knowledge of applicable safety rules, regulations, and EHS compliance requirements.\nExperience supporting incident reporting, safety inspections, corrective actions, safety training, and\ncompliance documentation.\nExperience coordinating or supporting emergency response planning, spill response, hazardous material\ncontrols, and employee safety programs.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, incident summaries,\ncorrective action plans, training updates, and leadership communications.\nStrong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.\nAbility to work in an active critical facilities environment and support urgent site needs when required.\nPreferred\n2 or more years of managerial, supervisory, or program leadership experience.\nBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science,\nEngineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.\nExperience in data centers, critical facilities, mission-critical operations, utilities, electrical/mechanical\ninfrastructure, or high-availability environments.\nOSHA 30-hour training.\nFirst Aid/CPR/AED certification.\nProfessional certification such as ASP, CSP, CHST, OHST, SMS, or another recognized safety credential.\nFamiliarity with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, EPA, hazardous waste, stormwater, spill prevention, fire/life safety,\nand AHJ compliance requirements.\nExperience with Permit to Work programs, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, contractor safety, and high-risk\nwork controls.\nExperience using EHS, CMMS, LMS, training, or compliance tracking systems\nStrong verbal and written communication skills required for working effectively with CFM, team members,\nvendors, and customers on daily data center management\nGood written technical proficiency to support the creation and revision of process documentation (MOPs,\nSOPs, and EOPs)\nAbove average problem-solving and analysis skills for evaluating a situation, identifying solutions, and\nworking with leadership and teammates to resolve\nEmbraces a team-based mentality by building
