You will work closely with engineering, UX design, Customer Success, and users to translate customer needs into clear technical product requirements, prioritize improvements, and deliver an integrated software experience. The ideal candidate combines strong software technical knowledge with business judgment and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.\nSuccess in this role means delivering a cohesive software product experience across Taara's customer-facing applications and embedded systems. You will define clear product requirements, identify dependencies and integration risks, and partner with engineering to prioritize features, reliability improvements, and customer-impacting issues. You will use customer feedback, product telemetry, and measurable outcomes to guide decisions and continuously improve software quality and user experience.\nHow you will make 10x impact:\nOwn the product scope, requirements, and prioritization across Taara's customer-facing software applications and embedded terminal software.\n\nTranslate customer and internal needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.\n\nDrive product road mapping by defining priorities, sequencing releases, and aligning stakeholders on what to build next and why.\n\nPartner closely with engineering and UX design to deliver features that balance technical feasibility, usability, and business outcomes.\n\nWork with customers and internal teams to understand real-world use cases, gather feedback, and prioritize enhancements.\n\nCollaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success to support product launches, enablement, and adoption.\n\nHelp shape and validate analysis, reporting, and visualization features, including exploration of AI-assisted workflows where appropriate.\n\nConduct market and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, evaluate software capabilities, and inform product features and roadmap priorities.\n\nMonitor product usage and feedback to inform iteration and continuous improvement.\n\nDefine and monitor product success metrics using customer feedback, usage data, and telemetry to assess software quality, reliability, and customer experience improvements.\n\nProduct requirements are clear, actionable, and well-aligned across teams.\n\nEngineering teams build with confidence and minimal rework.\n\nFeatures ship in a thoughtful sequence aligned to real user needs and operational priorities.\n\nCustomer feedback and usage insights meaningfully influence product decisions.\n\nUser experience improvements are measurable and reflected in reduced friction, faster adoption, and clearer workflows across the software products.\n\nWhat you should have:\n5+ years of product management experience delivering technically complex software products, with demonstrated ability to work closely with software engineering teams on architecture, system dependencies, and product requirements.\n\nExperience translating customer and technical requirements into clear product specifications, user stories, and prioritized backlogs, with an understanding of software integrations and system-level dependencies.\n\nStrong technical understanding of software products, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams on technical requirements, integrations, and dependencies.\n\nAbility to conduct user interviews and synthesize insights into clear product direction.\n\nComfort working cross-functionally with engineering, UX, and customer-facing teams.\n\nExperience using data, feedback, or product signals to inform prioritization and iteration.\n\nExperience using customer feedback, product telemetry, software quality metrics, and business priorities to guide product decisions and measure improvements.\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to explain product decisions clearly to diverse stakeholders.\n\nAbility to work in the Sunnyvale office at least 3 days per week.\n\nIt would be great if you also had these:\nPrior hands-on software development or coding experience.\n\nFamiliarity with technical systems, infrastructure products, or complex workflows is a plus.\n\nExperience/Knowledge with embedded software, cloud platforms, networking infrastructure, or products that integrate multiple software components.\n\nExperience managing B2B SaaS products or platforms with frequent software releases.\n\nComfort operating in startup environments and managing ambiguity.\n\nThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
