Data Protection Intern supports the Privacy Office in keeping the company compliant with UAE data protection laws.\nThe role gives hands-on exposure to the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).\nKey responsibilities\nCreate and maintain our data inventory and Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), including data categories, purposes, legal bases and retention periods.\nAssist with DPIAs and privacy reviews \nUpdate data privacy policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and business needs.\nHelp track regulatory updates.\nUpdate data maps and data flow inventories with business teams.\n\nRequirements\nPursuing or Recent graduate in Law, Information Security, Business or a related field.\nGenuine interest in data protection and basic knowledge of Middle East data privacy laws, particularly the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).\nClear written English, strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.\nNice to have familiarity with UAE PDPL and progress toward CIPP/E or CIPM\n\nWhat you will learn and what we offer\nBy the end of the internship, you will be able to:\nBuild and maintain a record of processing activities.\nContribute to a DPIA from scoping to recommendations.\nExplain how the UAE onshore and free zone data protection regimes
