You’ll combine strong technical expertise with people leadership, acting as a playing coach who stays hands-on with the codebase while driving architectural decisions, engineering excellence and team development. Working closely with Product and other cross-functional teams, you’ll help build scalable solutions that support Tabby Card’s growth, monetization and customer experience.\nWhat you’ll bring:\n5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally including 2+ years of Golang (not a must).\n2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, preferably at a fast-growing fintech or e-commerce company.\nExperience building scalable, distributed systems and working with high-load architectures.\nSolid understanding of backend tools and technologies, we use PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and a microservices architecture.\nExperience integrating third-party APIs and contributing to product development.\nA passion for writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.\nA proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.\nStrong communication skills in English.\n\nResponsibilities:\nLead large cross-team projects and drive them to production.\nStay hands-on as a playing coach: write code, participate in architectural discussions, and contribute to key technical decisions.\nReview feature designs and ensure non-functional requirements are met.\nOversee technical debt management and incident handling.\nDrive the effective adoption of AI tools and practices across the SDLC and team processes to improve engineering productivity.\nContribute to quarterly planning and roadmap definition.\nHire, evaluate, mentor, and motivate team members.\nBuild cross-team and cross-functional collaboration to increase efficiency.\nFoster a results- and business-oriented culture.\nMonitor key team performance indicators.\nEnsure process and delivery transparency for stakeholders and partner functions.\nOptimize
