You’ll work on challenging technical problems, drive improvements in database reliability and performance, and contribute to the infrastructure powering Tabby’s growing business.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, construct, install, and maintain large relational databases.\nMaintain the integrity and security of the database, including backups and recovery procedures.\nImplement and manage disaster recovery and failover systems.\nMonitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.\nOptimize queries for performance.\nCollaborate with development teams to optimize database usage.\nSet up and maintain database replication, clustering, mirroring, and other high availability strategies.\nUse and understand tools like PgBouncer and modern monitoring systems.\nStay up to date with the latest database technologies and best practices.\n\nWhat you’ll bring:\nProven hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (required), including setup, replication, upgrades, monitoring, and performance tuning.\nAbility to write and optimize complex SQL queries.\nExperience with backup and recovery strategies, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR).\nStrong understanding of database design, documentation, and development best practices.\nExperience with ClickHouse is a plus.\nWorking knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.\nExperience managing DBaaS solutions on cloud platforms (GCP or AWS is a plus).\nExperience migrating large databases across cloud platforms.\nFamiliarity with modern DevOps practices, including Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.\nExperience with real-time data streaming technologies such as Debezium or Flink.\nRelevant certifications or formal training in database management are a plus.\nStrong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.\nProfessional proficiency in English (B2 level or higher).\n\nWhat we offer:\nFull-time B2B contract\nFully
