This role requires 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Administrator and at least 3+ years of experience with MS SQL and PostgreSQL to maintain a reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant database infrastructure for our growing customer base.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDatabase Administration & Support:\nInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot RHEL/OEL OS supporting Oracle databases in physical and virtualized environments.\n\nProvide DBA services to application development, professional services, and support teams, including database design, query validation/execution, and performance tuning.\n\nTroubleshoot database alerts, logs, jobs, disk groups, tablespaces, and resolve performance-related issues.\n\nAutomate database tasks and develop scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.\n\nInfrastructure & Security:\nLead the design and implementation of database infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.\n\nManage the implementation of technical controls to enforce security policies.\n\nEnsure compliance with SOC2/ISO27001 audits and adhere to all audited controls.\n\nBackup & Disaster Recovery (DR):\nDesign, implement, and maintain DR methodologies, ensuring documentation is up to date.\n\nPeriodically validate Oracle 19c backup/recovery operations using RMAN.\n\nAssume responsibility for documenting and maintaining disaster recovery plans for each supported system.\n\nTechnical Leadership & Mentorship:\nResearch, evaluate, design, test, and recommend new database software versions and related tools.\n\nAct as a mentor for junior DBAs and provide technical guidance.\n\nAssist development teams in improving database design and PL/SQL best practices.\n\nOn-Call & Availability:\nProvide 24/7 on-call rotational support, including occasional weekend coverage.\n\nFamiliarity with monitoring tools like DataDog, Solarwinds, site24/7 or OEM.\n\nQualifications\n10+ years of experience with Oracle 19c+ administration.\n\n3+ years of experience with MS SQL 2012+ and PostgreSQL.\n\nHands-on experience using Solarwinds as a monitoring tool is essential.\n\nStrong expertise in PL/SQL coding, debugging, and query optimization.\n\nProficiency in Linux system administration and bash scripting.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure SQL, and PowerShell scripting.\n\nStrong knowledge of infrastructure design, security best practices, and compliance.\n\nExperience with high-availability database solutions (clustering, replication, failover strategies).\n\nExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration abilities.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.\n\nAdditional Information\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nLearn more about our high-energy, high-performance global team: Work With Us\ninsightsoftware About Us: Hear From Our Team\nBackground checks are required for employment with insightsoftware, where permitted by country, state/province.\nAt insightsoftware, we are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, national origin, gender, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital or parental status, disability, veteran status, or other class protected by applicable law.
