As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in all phases of housekeeping that meets or exceeds our quality, service, and hospitality standards. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others!\n\nWhat you'll do:\nClean and service apartments baths, and offices; dust furniture and equipment; clean windows, window sills, light globes; empty trash baskets and remove trash; clean and polish bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar items; replenish supplies of soap and paper towels in common areas; clean and polish brass, glass panels, doors, partitions, and paneling; Clean, mop, and treat floors; strip, wax, and buff floors as needed. Vacuum all carpet; shampoo carpet as directed.\nMix/dilute housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions.\nAssist residents with reporting/submitting maintenance work orders.\nKeep utility storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, and sweeping and mopping floor. \nReport issues of department equipment when it is not in good working condition in accordance with manufacturer’s operational standards.\nDetect and correct, or report, hazardous conditions that have a possibility of causing accidents or injuries to residents, associates, or visitors.\nObserve and report resident concerns and changes and report to the supervisor or other appropriate personnel as necessary.\nMaintain compliance with organizational policies, procedures and requirements. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.\nWork successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.\nPerform all duties in a courteous manner and maintain excellence in customer service including but not limited to cheerfully greeting residents and visitors and exercising respect with co-workers.\nAttend and participate in staff meetings and training as required.\nPerform general office tasks as required. \n Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.\n\nWhat you’ll bring:\nRequires in-depth understanding of all phases of housekeeping operations; prior-related experience preferred.\nRequires basic knowledge of commercial or residential cleaning devices, such as brooms, mops, etc., cleaning agents, and sanitation/cleaning requirements.\nRequires proficient ability to speak, read and write English; ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions given in English.\nRequires ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility on a daily basis.\nWork deals mostly with objects, equipment, and/or machines at or within arm’s reach. Depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are of some importance.\nRequires ability to maintain confidentiality. \nRequires ability to recognize differences in sound generated by equipment or machinery which may indicate operating problems or safety concerns.\nRequires ability to recognize differences in sound, such as voices/noises that are loud and playful instead of angry and combative.\nRequires ability to adjust and operate electric-powered cleaning equipment; ability to work with hand tools.\nRequires ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in vicinity and ability to cooperate and work with other employees.\nRequires ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility, using up to75 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds continuously to move objects.\nRequires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time; turns, stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches, and pushes, pulls, handles, stands, walks over 75% of shift.\nRequires ability to work under close supervision performing routine, standardized tasks.\nRequires sufficient good health to properly discharge duties.
