They ensure that parts and products are assembled accurately by following standard practices and procedures. The Assembler Tester I maintains necessary materials for production, keeps their workspace clean and organized, and updates work performed in the Enterprise Resource Planning system. \nMeasures of success: \nMeet Safety requirements; personal protective equipment always worn in the facility\nMeet or exceed daily production requirements \n100% accuracy on any inventory transactions and quality requirements \n100% adherence to processes and material usage, no deviations \nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to: \nPerforms basic assembly of parts and products according to Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS) and Bills of Material (BOM).\nReviews job information in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system daily to determine orders to process. \nMaintains inventory of materials needed for production orders.\nOperates basic equipment and uses common hand and pneumatic tools as instructed. \nPerforms standard tests after completion of each assembly operation to ensure parts and products meet tolerances, product specifications and quality standards.\nRotates between different workstations and/or bays as production needs require or to reduce fatigue. \nExamines work completed by team members for accuracy, continued operations and safety.\nMoves materials as needed for production, utilizing proper equipment and safety procedures.\nEnsures maximum output for work area; manages time effectively in order to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes.\nVisually inspects parts for quality and reports any issues to Team Lead or Supervisor.\nUpdates the ERP for work performed.\nMaintains daily production records as directed.\nDetects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and any unusual conditions to Team Lead and/or Supervisor.\nMaintains work area in a clean and orderly condition; ensures equipment is in good operating condition.\nAttends and participates in monthly safety meetings.\nAdheres to all safety policies and wears personal protective equipment as required.\nPerforms other related duties as requested. \nQualifications\nRequired: \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred\n3 months of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred\nCompetent to operate computer and complete basic data entry in systems\nMust successfully learn specific responsibilities as assigned and adhere to production procedures\nProficient and functioning in job responsibilities and able to attain Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS) training sign-off within 90 days\nPhysical dexterity to manipulate hand tools and power tools\nAbility to push, pull, lift and/or move materials of up to 30 lbs; capable of using hoists for materials over 30 lbs\nAbility to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, including standing and lifting\nAttention to detail is essential for success\nCapable of following verbal and/or written instruction\nGood communication skills with the ability to work within a team setting \nWell organized \nWork Environment\nThis position works primarily in a production floor environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent.
