Theyperform machining functions such as cutting, deburring, balancing, drilling, boringand broachingof materials used inmanufacturing different productcomponents. The CNC Machine Operator I followsstandard practices and proceduresto ensure that product componentsaremachinedaccurately and to proper specifications. \nMeasures of success: \nMeet Safety requirements; personal protective equipment always worn in the facility \nMeet or exceed daily production requirements \n100% accuracy on any inventory transactions and quality requirements \n100% adherence to processes and material usage, no deviations \nResponsibilities\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to: \nPerforms basic setup and operation of assigned computer numerical control (CNC) machines. \nProduces product components in accordance with blueprints, engineered drawings, Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS), and Bills of Material (BOM). \nReviews job information in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system daily to determine orders to process. \nMaintains inventory of materials needed for production orders. \nDetermines tooling requirements and setup for machined procedures. \nMounts and secures tooling and workpiece on the machine. \nSelects and installs cutting tools within the machine. \nLoads pre-programmed machine commands into the controller. \nUses proper machining methods and sequences and performs preventive maintenance for smooth and efficient operations. \nRuns machine and changes tooling and setup as required. \nAdjusts machine controls to perform tool offset and correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. \nPerforms periodic checks and daily routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. \nInspects parts after completion of each operation to ensure they meet drawing specifications, tolerances and quality standards. \nPlaces finished parts in proper bins. \nRotates and operates different assigned machines as production needs require. \nMoves materials as needed for machining. \nEnsures maximum output for work area; manages time effectively in order to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes. \nVisually inspects parts for quality and reports any issues to Team Lead or Supervisor. \nUpdates the ERP for work performed. \nMaintains required documentation as directed. \nDetects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, and any unusual conditions to Team Lead and/or Supervisor. \nMaintains work area in a clean and orderly condition; ensures equipment is in good operating condition. \nAttends and participates in monthly safety meetings. \nAdheres to all safety policies and wears personal protective equipment as required. \nPerforms other related duties as requested.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nGraduate of a trade school or vocational programpreferred \nCNC certification preferred \n1+ years of CNC operator experiencepreferred \nCompetent to operatecomputerand complete basic data entry in systems \nMust successfully learn specific responsibilities as assigned and adhere to production procedures \nProficient and functioning in job responsibilities and able to attainManufacturing ProcessSheet (MPS)training sign-off within 90 days \nAbility to read engineered drawings and blueprints \nPhysicaldexterity to manipulate hand tools and power tools \nAbility topush, pull, liftand/or move materials of up to 30 lbs; capable of using hoists for materials over 30 lbs \nAbility to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, including standing and lifting \nCapable of following verbal and/or written instruction \nGood communicationskills with the ability to work within a team setting \nAttention to detail is essential for success \nWell organized\nWork Environment\nThis position works primarily in a production floor environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent.
