They provide training primarily to mechanical engineers, Taco manufacturer representatives, Taco sales personnel and mechanical contractors on commercial system application and design, commercial hydronics fundamentals and advanced commercial system design. They perform complex activities to support the design and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems. They also provide instruction on how customers can develop design specifications. The Sr Systems Engineer, Commercial Training provides coaching and mentoring to other team members and provides high-level field technical support and diagnostics.\nMeasures of success:\nDevelop and conduct target number of factory training programs for engineers\nDevelop and conduct target number Taco Tuesday webinars\nDevelop and conduct target number of Lunch ‘n Learn programs\nDevelop and conduct target number of annual rep training programs\nResponsibilities:\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nProvides training on commercial mechanical systems and commercial products including but not limited to pumps, heat exchangers, variable speed drives, self-sensing pumps and plumbing systems\nDevelops engineering curriculum for both classroom training and E-Learning courses\nProvides mechanical systems engineering and design assistance for building systems including HVAC systems, plumbing systems, control systems and energy analysis\nMeets with customers and provides an explanation of mechanical systems and Taco components\nGuides customers through the decision-making process for selecting mechanical systems for their buildings\nProvides high-level field technical support and diagnostics for Taco commercial products\nServes as a coach and mentor to other team members\nQualifications\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering\n10+ years of mechanical design and engineering experience in an HVAC or related field\n5+ years of experience in delivering technical presentations to groups\nProficient in Microsoft Office tools with advanced capability in PowerPoint\nSelf-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nExcellent verbal, written, public presentation and teaching skills\nTravel: Minimum 50% of time to customer sites, trade shows, North American company locations, etc.\nPreferred:\nProfessional Engineer Certification\nWork Environment\nThis position works primarily in a home and/or office environment using computers and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.\nThis position may work from home if performance is in good standing.
