Position Summary: 

The Web Application Developerworkson programming requests from departments including but not limited to IT, customer service, finance, sales,and marketing.  

Measures of success:

• Successfully develops requested applications using latest programming practices in a reliable and sustainable manner 
• Timely completion of assigned tasks  
• Effectively documents all completed development activities 

Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyzesuser requestsand develops codefollowing best practices. 
• Thoroughly tests the results of the programfor accuracy prior to releasing them to the production user environment.
• Develops, troubleshoots, debugsand implements web applications to achieve functionality between the front and back-endsystem.  
• Works closely with company stakeholders during future applicationredesigns and database upgrades.
• Confirmsapplicationobjectivesby analyzing and validatinguser requirements, identifyingnew features and functionalityand streamlining and upgrading of existing features. 
• Plansweb applications by evaluating product requirements and creating product specifications; analyzing existing and proposed systems; identifyingconstraints and technical issues.
• Developsweb applications by studying existing technology architecture,analyzing browser compatibility techniques,evaluating solution alternatives,developing prototypesand,building n-tier, scalable, and multimedia applications
• Programsobjects, events, functions, error trapping, data verification, animations, interactions, and dynamic updating.
• Designs, installs, and configuresdatabasesand completesdocumentation. 
• Updatesjob knowledge by researching new web technologies,participatingin educational opportunities,reading professional publications,maintainingpersonal networks,and participatingin professional organizations. 
• Accomplishesorganization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishingnew and different requestsandexploring opportunities to add value. 
• Maintains good communicationskills with internal and external customers.
• Maintainsconfidentiality of all business.
• Perform other duties as required or directed. 

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Scienceor related field
• 5+ years ofexperienceas a web application developer 
• Strong skills in SQL Server, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, C#, JavaScript, RESTful/ SOAP web services, Version Control, SDLC,and SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services 
• Programming in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress platform a plus 
• Travelisoptional and limited to professional conferences and other company offices if needed 

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Application Development 

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office environment using computer and technology.  Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent.  Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position may work from home up to 2X/week if performance is in good standing. 

This position has no direct reports.
