You will help automate business processes and support modernization efforts, such as cloud migrations and application containerization.\nWhat you'll do\nCollaborate with operations teams to understand current processes and pain points, and propose modernization strategies.\nDevelop solutions that automate manual business processes and streamline operations.\nWork with complex satellite-based data at all stages including ingest, processing, and dissemination. \nSupport efforts to modernize legacy systems, including cloud migrations, containerizations, and infrastructure updates.\nDesign and implement cloud-based solutions in AWS environments.\nLeverage DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management to ensure efficient deployment and scalability.\nDesign, implement, and optimize monitoring systems using the TIG stack (Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana).\nWork in agile environments, participating in sprints and iterative development to deliver high-quality software products.\nDeploy applications in containerized environments (e.g., Docker) and ensure smooth integration in mixed Linux and Windows environments.\nQualifications\nExpertise in cloud software and AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation).\nHands-on experience developing solutions in AWS cloud environments.\nPrevious experience modernizing legacy architectures and applications and implementing automated solutions.\nStrong knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience deploying and optimizing the TIG stack (Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana).\nExpertise with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native solutions.\nFamiliarity with both Windows and Linux operating environments.\nExperience with Bash shell scripting, Perl, Python, and/or C#.\nExperience with Jira projects and Confluence for documentation and collaboration.\nExperience supporting federal government mission environments, especially NOAA/NESDIS, is highly preferred.\nEducation and Experience\nBS in Computer Science, Engineering, related disciplines or equivalent.\n6+ years of experience in software development/engineering.\nMust be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident who has lived in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to access applicable government facilities and
