Whether it's harnessing fusion through the science of stars, making exponential leaps in power efficiency, or innovating medical care with a novel cancer treatment: We're turning the promise of science into reality.\nWe’re looking for candidates who are passionate about realizing our mission: A future where all people have affordable access to reliable, abundant, and environmentally friendly fusion-generated electricity.\nAbout The Role\nExecute Testing: Perform routing, continuity, high-voltage, and insulation testing on components, PCBs, and sub-assemblies.\nTroubleshoot Failures: Diagnose the root causes of electrical and mechanical failures down to the component level.\nOperate Diagnostic Equipment: Use advanced testing tools including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power analyzers, and megohmmeters.\nInterpret Documentation: Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications.\nDocument and Report: Maintain comprehensive test folders, inputting failures into tracking software and writing clear technical data logs.\nCalibrate Equipment: Set up, maintain, and calibrate lab test fixtures, environmental chambers, and automation tooling.\n Maintain Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety standards such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), National Electrical Code (NEC), and OSHA requirements.\nAbout You\nRequired: High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree or comparable trade school certificate in Electrical Technology, Electronics Engineering or a related field.\n Certifications: NETA (International Electrical Testing Association) or NICET certification is highly desirable for this role.\nTechnical Experience\nMinimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical testing, assembly, or field service.\nAbility to use primary test equipment\nAbility to read and update electrical circuit schematics\nExperience with diagnosing and repairing electronics equipment\nBasic understanding of industrial controls and safety circuits.\nBasic understanding of industrial AC circuits\nProficiency in soldering (J-STD-001 class preferred) and basic computer literacy for data entry.\nExperience building prototypes\nAbility to use general hand tools, drills & air tools\nSoftware Knowledge and Skills Required:\nAbility to read electrical schematics.\nAbility to read process P&ID documents.\nAbility to use Microsoft Office products for documentation\nProficiency in Confluence, Jira or other web based organizational software tools\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge of NEC codes for electrical installations\nPCB CAD\nSPICE or similar electronics circuit simulator\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs (23kg)\nAbility to stand, bend, kneel and climb ladders as required\nComfortable working around industrial equipment and electrical systems\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)\nAt TAE Technologies, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
