Whether it's harnessing fusion through the science of stars, making exponential leaps in power efficiency, or innovating medical care with a novel cancer treatment: We're turning the promise of science into reality.\nWe’re looking for candidates who are passionate about realizing our mission: A future where all people have affordable access to reliable, abundant, and environmentally friendly fusion-generated electricity.\nAbout The Role\nComply with all safety policies and procedures and work to proactively promote a safe work environment\nResponsible for the assembly, installation and maintenance of electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic components to specification\nAssemble, install, and maintain Ultra High Vacuum systems and assemblies\nAssemble, install, and maintain Deionized and Soft Water systems\nAssemble, install, and maintain compressed dry air systems\nMaintain chilled water system\nWork as part of a team on new projects: offer advice in design, selection and order of parts\nKeep organized documentation pertaining to equipment specifications/manuals/files and repair documentation\nKeep lab spaces clean and organized\nRigging, lifting, and general moving of heavy and complex shaped objects\nAbout You\nRequired: 2-5 years of relevant experience\nRequired: High school diploma or GED\nPreferred: AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance, or other recognized qualifications gained in apprenticeship(s) or college preferred\nProficiency with common hand tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, hammers, etc)\nProficiency with common power tools (impacts, sanders, grinders, etc)\nTechnical Experience (Equipment, tools, etc.\nHands on experience in equipment maintenance and calibration\nExperience with crane and forklift operation\nOther Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAvailable to work flexible and extended hours as needed\nAbility to multi-task and/or switch rapidly between assigned tasks\nAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative team\nAble to complete assigned duties with general direction\nAbility to learn and comply with all safety regulations\nAble to work in confined spaces using appropriate safety equipment\nMust be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.\nPhysical Requirements:\nClimbing \nOperating heavy equipment\nDriving \nLifting/carrying heavy items - Up to 50 lbs.\nStooping/Bending \nPushing/pulling/dragging heavy items\nBalancing in high places \nStanding for long periods of time\nWorking in cramped places\nWorking outside or underground \nAt TAE Technologies, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered (non-Sr., Sr., Lead or Manager).
