We offer core banking products (checking accounts, debit and credit cards) alongside a proprietary award travel booking engine that automates the search and booking of award flights with partner airlines using Taekus points.\nWe've been operating for 6 years as a lean, profitable team of 25. We process $4B+ in yearly transactions, generate $120M+ in annual revenue, and are growing 2-3x yearly. We're ready to scale, and design is at the center of that.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for a Product Designer with 5+ years of experience as part of our design team, reporting directly to design leadership. High-ownership, high-impact: you'll shape the visual and interaction experience across our web and mobile products, covering both banking and travel booking flows.\nUX matters, but visual quality is non-negotiable here. Our customers expect a premium experience, and the bar for design polish is high.\nWhat You'll Work On\nDesigning web and mobile experiences across banking features (accounts, cards, transactions) and travel features (award search, booking, itineraries)\n\nDriving designs from early concepts to polished, production-ready UI\n\nExtending and evolving our design system, raising consistency and quality as the product scales\n\nTranslating Taekus brand identity into UI so the premium feel comes through in the product\n\nLight brand and marketing support: you'll occasionally pitch in on brand assets or visual direction, without it taking over your time\n\nCollaborating closely with engineering (React/TypeScript) and product to ship high-quality work\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n5+ years in design, including 3+ years in product design, ideally in fintech, travel, or consumer apps\n\nHas shipped at least one real product, not just concept work\n\nExperience contributing to a design system or UI library\n\nA strong portfolio with exceptional visual design sensibility; we want to see polished, beautiful work\n\nExperience designing for both web and mobile (iOS/Android)\n\nProficiency in Figma\n\nComfortable in a fast-moving, lean startup with high autonomy\n\nBonus: personal interest in travel hacking, points, and miles. Our team travels and we take that seriously\n\nWhy Taekus\nReal ownership over the product, not just execution\n\nProfitable and growing with no runway anxiety\n\nRemote-first; hubs in Chicago and the Bay Area\n\nA team of travelers who actually use the product\n\nCompany offsites twice a year\n\nCompetitive compensation + benefits","description_format":"text","description_chars":2533,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Cards & Card Issuing","Digital Banks & Neobanks"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T14:23:42Z"},{"event":"close","at":"2026-09-23T17:53:03Z"},{"event":"reopen","at":"2026-09-28T20:59:34Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":31,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":1,"p_active":0.57,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":45,"expected_fill_days":35,"reasons":["conf:3","stale_co","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-11-08T05:47:12Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":180000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/taekus-product-designer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/taekus-product-designer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-08T14:20:23Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":30334,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-09T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.1,"usd":0.01,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":689487},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=689487"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Ftaekus-product-designer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":2,"usd":0.2},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Ftaekus-product-designer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.1,"usd":0.01},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Ftaekus-product-designer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/taekus-product-designer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Ftaekus-product-designer"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":1144712}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"taekus.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":1144712},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
