This role is essential to keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring every location has the products it needs to serve travelers efficiently, safely, and consistently.\nPosition Summary\nThe Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing all inbound product deliveries and inventory distribution for Tailwind Hospitality's airport operations. This includes coordinating vendor deliveries, managing receiving and storage procedures, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring products are distributed and stocked appropriately across assigned units.\nThe ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader with strong inventory management skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, security-sensitive airport environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nReceiving and Vendor Management\nSchedule, receive, and inspect vendor deliveries to verify quantities, pricing, temperatures, expiration dates, and product condition against purchase orders and invoices.\nCoordinate delivery schedules, dock access, security screening, and receiving procedures with airport personnel and central receiving or distribution facilities.\nBuild and maintain effective vendor relationships while resolving delivery discrepancies, shortages, damaged products, and credit requests.\nIdentify recurring delivery issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate management team.\nInventory and Product Distribution\nMaintain accurate inventory records, conduct cycle counts and monthly inventories, and investigate discrepancies.\nEnsure proper product rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out), accurate labeling, and established food safety standards across dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage areas.\nCoordinate product distribution to assigned airport units according to established delivery schedules and operational priorities.\nEnsure all units are stocked to established par levels and merchandising standards, minimizing out-of-stocks during peak travel periods.\nPartner with unit managers to review sales trends, inventory levels, and product needs to prevent shortages and overstock.\nEnsure products are handled, transported, stored, and distributed safely and efficiently throughout secured airport areas.\nTeam Leadership and Operations\nLead, schedule, train, and supervise the receiving and stocking team, assigning daily responsibilities, unit coverage, and delivery routes.\nEstablish daily priorities and hold team members accountable for accuracy, productivity, cleanliness, and service standards.\nTrain employees on proper product handling, inventory rotation, lifting techniques, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.\nMonitor staffing levels and labor hours to ensure productivity and alignment with budget expectations.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready receiving and storage area.\nCompliance and Administrative Responsibilities\nEnsure invoices are accurately coded and submitted to Accounting within established deadlines.\nMaintain compliance with company policies, airport security requirements, food safety regulations, and applicable workplace safety standards.\nVerify that team members maintain valid airport security credentials and complete all required security and safety training.\nSupport operational inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.\nQualifications\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, stocking, inventory management, or a related field; food and beverage or airport experience preferred.\nAt least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.\nWorking knowledge of inventory control, product rotation, receiving procedures, and food safety practices.\nServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training preferred.\nExperience with inventory management systems, ordering platforms, and Microsoft Excel.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.\nAbility to lead a team, manage competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.\nFlexibility to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on airport operational needs.\nAbility to pass required background checks and obtain and maintain an airport security badge, including SIDA credentials where applicable.\nWhy Join Tailwind Hospitality?\nJoin a growing hospitality organization where your leadership directly supports the success of our airport restaurants and retail locations.
