machine operator in a recycling or similar industrial setting, in a waste management/recycling environment, on-site role.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOperate and oversee the operation of recycling machinery, such as balers, shredders, conveyors, and sorting equipment.\n\nMonitor equipment performance and intervene promptly in case of malfunctions or breakdowns.\n\nConduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.\n\nImplement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality recycled materials.\n\nInspect incoming materials and outgoing products for conformity to standards.\n\nCollaborate with quality control personnel to address any issues and improve processes.\n\nSupervise but also if schedule allows, do regular preventative maintenance of the machinery \n\nTroubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions while coordinating repairs as needed.\n\nKeep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.\n\nEnforce and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.\n\nKeep the workplace clean\n\nConduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for machine operators.\n\nInvestigate and report accidents or incidents promptly, implementing corrective actions.\n\nCommunicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.\n\nReport and update production metrics, equipment status, and any issues to the relevant parties.\n\nCollaborate with colleagues to improve overall plant efficiency and effectiveness. \n\nLead, train, and supervise a team of assistant operators.\n\nMotivate and support the team to achieve production goals and targets.\n\nProduction Planning:\n\nWork with the Recycling Plant Manager and Recycling Plant Supervisor to develop production schedules and plans.\n\nCoordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production process.\n\nMake adjustments to production schedules in consultation with the Recycling Plant manager and Supervisor based on changing priorities or unforeseen circumstances.\n\nAnalyze and improve existing processes.\n\nImplement process control systems.\n\nWork with the engineering team for new equipment design and installation.\n\nData Analysis and Reporting (Use data for decision-making and process enhancements.)\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n\nDegree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering,\n\nProven experience as a machine operator in a recycling or similar industrial setting.\n\nHaving operated an industrial production machine before with at least 3 process
