Peers include the Director of Logistics, Directors of Supply Chain, Senior Operations Management, Senior QA Leadership, and Principal Engineering for Group Fulfilment. \nThis role will oversee the three engineering teams responsible for the maintenance and ongoing development of Takealot Group’s fulfilment systems. This person is ultimately responsible for the systems that ensure the orchestration between our warehousing (WMS) and logistics (Routing and Courier Allocation) systems. This area is also responsible for Takealot Fulfillment Solutions (TFS) client onboarding and management. It is the ideal role for someone to sit between operations and the customer. The role will be responsible for driving the division’s technical strategy to both innovate and manage risks spanning efficiency, scalability, security, performance, and uptime.\nYou are a technology leader who thrives in a vibrant, innovative, and collaborative environment, and who has the passion and desire to remain hands-on in a fast-paced, dynamic space. deliver\nEvangelize and reinforce the adoption of engineering best practices across your division\nQualifications & Experience:\nBachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in IT, Engineering, or any related area of study or equivalent experience\nAt least 10 years of experience, of which 5 years should be experience managing engineering teams. \nExperience managing strategic technology roadmaps with customer focus\nExperience with building RESTful API web services and microservices\nExperience with relational databases\nExperience with event-driven systems\nSignificant technical experience and a proven track record of architectural ownership and understanding\nA thorough understanding of computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
