You'll be joining a team powered by Takealot Group's core values. \nThis position reports to the Head of TFS Analytics.\nYour responsibilities can include:\nBuilding and optimising models and reports using support tools i.e. Looker, Looker Studio, Dataform, Branch Dashboards, Weekly reports to inform operational decisions and drive improvement.\nCreating reports with focus areas for business improvement.\nBuilding dashboards to be used by the business for exception management.\nIdentifying important variables and focus areas in the business.\nAnalysing data to answer strategic and operational questions posed by the business.\nAutomating data extraction and report update processes.\nProvide information to various stakeholders.\nData Validation and integrity testing.\nData Cleansing and data modelling.\nProvide information to various stakeholders.\nCollaborate with TFS managers and Franchise Managers to establish project plans while accounting for the trade-offs between operational practicality and overall performance.\nProvide significant support to TFS according to weekly goals and targeted metrics.\nUse weekly and monthly targets to manage day-to-day performance and inform operations for best impact.\nRegularly review and analyse key metrics in operations to identify root causes and formulate solutions to improve performance.\nManaging customer, branch, driver, and courier feedback into continuous performance improvement processes.\nTechnical Skills and Tools:\nHave worked with Automation and ETL software.\nStrong experience in building and optimising SQL scripts.\nHave a strong understanding of BI fundamentals.\nImplement version control using GIT.\nImplement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.\nWrite technical documentation for APIs and libraries.\nImplement analytics and tracking features in applications.\nDesign and implement database schemas.\nOptimize database queries and indexes for performance where needed.\nImplement error handling and logging mechanisms.\nEstimate story points and task durations for sprint planning.\nDemonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.\nAttributes required:\nSolutions-oriented, can-do attitude and high energy.\nStrong analytical and critical thinking, using data to inform decisions.\nAbility to identify areas of improvement in current processes.\nAbility to use logic and common sense to arrive at conclusions.\nPassion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high quality, innovative, clean solutions.\nHighly structured thinker with strong attention to detail.\nAbility to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nMust have exceptional communication skills to help deliver insights to diverse stakeholders.\nDetail oriented, outcome and process focused.\nWillingness to learn and personal desire to keep up to date with technology and process.\nComfortable with change and excellent team player.\nQualifications and experience:\nBachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Information Systems, BCom Computer Science or similar degree and 3 years experience in a BI, Data, Engineering role within a fast-paced, product-led, and growth-focused organisation, playing a key role in data gathering, data analysis and helping the team make data based decisions.\nIn the event the candidate does not have a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Engineering, Information Systems, BCom Computer Science or similar then a relevant Higher Certificate and 6 years relevant experience in a BI, Data, Engineering role within a fast-paced, product-led, and growth-focused organisation, playing a key role in data gathering, data analysis and helping the team make data based decisions.\nStrong hands-on experience with SQL, ETL pipelines, Google BigQuery, AWS, Looker Studio, and Python.\nAutomation - Cron Scheduling (Custom or 3rd party software scheduling).\nHigh level of proficiency with MS Office packages with proven advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, Docs & Slides.\nExperience with large datasets and optimisation on digital platforms.\nRetail or e-commerce and Supply Chain industry experience is beneficial.\nBe part of the extraordinary.
