You will work across multiple projects and domains to design and deliver standardized, interoperable data structures, enabling analytics, AI/ML use cases, and scalable data integration. You will partner up closely with domain leads, data engineers, and AI teams to ensure data models are aligned to enterprise standards and support evolving R&D needs.\nHow will you contribute:\nData Modeling Delivery\nDesign and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for R&D data assets.\n\nTranslate business and scientific requirements into structured, scalable data models.\n\nSupport modeling delivery across Research and Clinical domains in partnership with senior domain leads.\n\nAI-Ready Data Design\nApply modeling practices that enable:\nAI/ML and advanced analytics use cases.\n\nConsistent data inputs and context for downstream consumption.\n\nStructure data to improve usability, reusability, and alignment with AI-enabled workflows.\n\nContribute to evolving practices for AI-ready data and standardized context generation.\n\nReuse and Standardization\nContribute to development of reusable schemas, templates, and shared data models.\n\nApply enterprise standards, ontologies, and naming conventions in model design.\n\nPromote reuse of shared data assets through data hubs, APIs, and standardized structures.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with:\nDomain experts to align models with scientific and operational needs.\n\nData engineers and architects to ensure models are implementable.\n\nData scientists to support analytics and AI/ML requirements.\n\nContribute to integration of data models into data pipelines and AI-enabled workflows.\n\nData Quality and Governance Alignment\nIncorporate data quality rules, metadata, and lineage into model design.\n\nEnsure models align with enterprise data governance standards and support trusted, fit-for-purpose data.\n\nWhat you bring to Takeda:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.\n\nRelevant experience in data modeling, data architecture, or data engineering.\n\nExperience working with structured data in complex environments (life sciences / R&D preferred).\n\nDemonstrated R&D domain experience preferred.\n\nConceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.\n\nData modeling tools and techniques.\n\nData platforms (e.g., data lakes, warehouses, APIs).\n\nShared data assets and schema design.\n\nAI/ML or advanced analytics use cases (preferred).\n\nOntologies or semantic modeling (nice to have).\n\nCore Behavioral Competencies\nCollaboration & Teamwork Effectively partners across technical and domain teams to deliver shared outcomes.\n\nExecution & Delivery Focus Delivers high-quality outputs consistently across multiple projects.\n\nLearning Agility Quickly builds understanding across new domains and applies consistent modeling practices.\n\nProblem Solving Translates complex requirements into structured, practical data solutions.\n\nCommunication Clearly articulates data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nKey Stakeholders\nR&D Domain Leads (Research, Clinical, Operations).\n\nData Engineering and Solution Architecture teams.\n\nData Science and AI/ML teams.\n\nData Governance and Ontology teams.\n\nWork on moderately complex data modeling challenges across projects.\n\nBalance local project requirements with enterprise standards and reuse.\n\nApply judgment to adapt existing patterns to new use cases and domains.\n\nTakeda Compensation and Benefits Summary\nWe understand compensation is an important factoras you consider the next step in your career.
