About the role:

This role sits within the Digital Experience & Engagement team, part of Corporate Functions and Digital People Experience, within Data, Digital & Technology (DDT) at Takeda. It leads product management for a portfolio of large-scale, employee-facing digital experience and communications products. Acting as the bridge between business priorities and technical delivery, the role partners with senior business and technology stakeholders, delivery teams, and design and insight specialists to understand desired outcomes, translate them into clear product direction and requirements, and shape a unified product vision.

It combines strategic roadmap ownership with a strong focus on employee experience, practical delivery, and continuous improvement.

Primarily focused on the customer, the strategic product roadmap, and defining outcomes and KPIs that demonstrate business and transformation impact by making work easier, improving clarity, streamlining processes, breaking down silos, and identifying thoughtful opportunities for AI-enabled and agentic experiences.

How you will contribute:

• Communicate how the product is meeting the business priorities and goals of the organization (business, technology, and people experience)

• Work with partners in technology, data, and ecosystem teams to accomplish product goals and ensure autonomous, usable pieces of work come together as a whole

• Identify high-priority / critical issues and define outcomes and success metrics that address customer needs and measurable business or transformation goals

• Own the product strategy, intake, prioritization, and roadmap - from idea through definition, launch, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement

• Accountable for holistic product vision and value realization across products, ensuring delivery teams' work comes together to achieve set objectives

• Set product strategy and plans consistent with corporate priorities and define vision and direction for the product portfolio

• Define vision that reflects customer and business needs, balancing long-term solution direction with near-term priorities

• Partner with Product Owners and delivery teams to confirm products comply with architecture and platform standards

• Interface with customers and senior business and technology stakeholders to understand desired outcomes and translate them into clear product requirements and scope

• Plan and facilitate workshops or discovery sessions that turn business challenges, employee needs, and stakeholder input into actionable product direction

• Champion product culture and customer-led thinking across the portfolio, in partnership with dedicated Experience Design and Insight/Research capabilities

• Define outcomes, KPIs, and success measures for features, with acceptance criteria and delivery owned by the Product Owner

• Use insights and outcome measures to inform the next iteration of the product, including opportunities to centralize information, streamline work, and thoughtfully apply AI-enabled or agentic experiences

• Participate in portfolio planning, reviews, and inspect-and-adapt sessions relevant to the product portfolio

• Build trusted relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders, confidently aligning priorities, facilitating trade-offs, and constructively challenging assumptions when needed

Skills and qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in product management, or equivalent demonstrated experience delivering enterprise digital products and partnering with delivery teams at scale

• Manages customer relationships effectively, communicating with senior business and technology stakeholders and ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic goals

• Develops and implements strategies that propel the product forward, aligning with broader business objectives

• Oversees the product lifecycle from idea through launch and adoption, with a demonstrated record of owning work through completion and delivering verifiable outcomes

• Influences teams and stakeholders through clear communication and cross-functional partnership, without direct authority over delivery teams

• Understands and integrates business goals and strategies into product decisions

• Applies design thinking and CX/UI/UX methodologies to enhance employee experience, usability, and appeal, in partnership with dedicated design and research resources

• Applies Agile and SDLC concepts to collaborate effectively with delivery partners

• Applies sufficient knowledge of enterprise platforms, services, and standards to understand technical options, guide trade-offs, and ensure appropriate use of infrastructure technologies

• Experience with large-scale, employee-facing digital products that serve broad and varied user groups

• Brings curiosity, strategic thinking, and a practical point of view on AI-enabled or agentic experiences; direct delivery experience in this area is preferred but not required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports

As an experienced professional, you specialize in solving various complex problems, sometimes referring to established precedents and policies. Your work involves analyzing diverse data and selecting appropriate methods for solutions, while networking with senior professionals in your field. You possess a complete understanding of principles, concepts, and industry practices, exerting some influence on organizational objectives. You often work independently under general direction, occasionally leading small project teams, and may represent the organization in contractual or project matters, interacting with senior internal and external personnel. You might also participate in training junior staff.

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
