You will play a key role in connecting business needs with category strategies that support operational performance, value creation, and long-term supply continuity. As part of the global procurement team, you will work closely with stakeholders and suppliers to help advance business priorities through informed decision-making and effective category management. Your work will contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier performance, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts that support research and development activities. You will be part of a team that focuses on delivering sustainable value while strengthening supplier relationships and responding to evolving business and market needs.\nHow You Will Contribute\nDevelop category strategies that align business needs with global procurement objectives and category priorities.\nLead sourcing initiatives to identify opportunities, support supplier selection, and deliver business value.\nManage supplier relationships by overseeing performance, governance activities, and ongoing collaboration.\nNegotiate commercial agreements to support effective contract management and category outcomes.\nAnalyze market and spend data to inform sourcing decisions and category planning.\nPartner with stakeholders across functions to align priorities and support execution of category initiatives.\nDrive value and risk management by advancing cost, sustainability, innovation, and supply continuity objectives.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in a relevant field.\nAt least 10 years of experience in category management, procurement, strategic sourcing, or a related commercial discipline.\nExperience managing laboratory consumables categories and related supplier markets.\nKnowledge of sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and category strategy development.\nExperience using market intelligence and spend analysis to support procurement decisions.\nAbility to assess and manage supply, quality, and business risks within a regulated environment.\nStrong stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills in a global, matrixed organization.\nMore about us:\nAt Takeda, we are transforming patient care through the development of novel specialty pharmaceuticals and best in class patient support programs.
