I further attest that all information I submit in my employment application is true to the best of my knowledge.\nJob Description\nAbout the Role\nThe Procurement Excellence Manager is a key member of the Procurement Center of Excellence, responsible for advancing procurement capabilities, frameworks, and best practices across Global Procurement. This role combines strategic thinking with practical implementation, helping to drive excellence in Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Segmentation, and Preferred Supplier Programs.\nAs the owner of the integrated procurement excellence frameworks and operating models, you will partner closely with Global Category Leaders, Procurement teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen procurement performance, standardize ways of working, and enhance value delivery. You will play a critical role in embedding procurement excellence across strategic initiatives, driving adoption, identifying capability gaps, and ensuring procurement processes, governance, and tools support Takeda’s long-term business objectives.\nHow You Will Contribute\nDevelop and continuously improve procurement capabilities, methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices that support category management and supplier relationship management excellence.\nOwn and maintain the integrated Category Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Segmentation, and Preferred Supplier operating models and delivery frameworks.\nServe as a procurement excellence subject matter expert, supporting end-to-end procurement process effectiveness and continuous improvement.\nPartner with Global Category Leaders and Procurement teams to strengthen category strategies and enhance execution across spend categories.\nDrive adoption of procurement excellence standards and frameworks across strategic programs, tracking performance, identifying gaps, and leading improvement initiatives.\nEstablish and maintain standardized approaches for category management, supplier segmentation, supplier performance management, and supplier innovation programs.\nPartner with risk, sustainability, and business stakeholders to ensure environmental, social, governance (ESG) and supplier-risk considerations are embedded within procurement frameworks and decision-making processes.\nCoach and support category teams, value delivery teams, and supplier partnership teams on effective application of procurement frameworks and methodologies.\nOwn and continuously enhance procurement content, templates, guidance materials, and capability-building resources in partnership with the Procurement Capabilities team.\nSupport development and execution of change management initiatives that drive adoption of new procurement processes, tools, and ways of working.\nIdentify and implement tools, technologies, and reporting solutions that strengthen KPI management, process monitoring, and business insights.\nEnsure procurement excellence processes, systems, and governance models remain fit for purpose, compliant, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs.\nEstablish and maintain governance routines that enable effective decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and executive sponsorship across procurement initiatives.\nCollaborate with stakeholders across functions, business units, and regions to ensure consistent execution, transparency, and alignment of procurement activities.\nSupport global supplier risk management and sustainability initiatives through the development and adoption of robust procurement practices.\nContribute to the continuous evolution of Procurement Center of Excellence methodologies, standards, and operating models.\nCoach and mentor colleagues across the Procurement Center of Excellence, helping strengthen overall procurement capability and organizational maturity.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Operations, or a related field required.\nMBA or other advanced degree preferred.\n10+ years of strategic and operational procurement experience across direct and/or indirect spend categories.\n12+ years of overall business experience, preferably within global and complex organizations.\nPharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industry experience is considered an advantage.\n5+ years of experience leading, coaching, or managing procurement professionals and teams.\nDemonstrated success leading cost-reduction, value-creation, and procurement transformation initiatives.\nDeep expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, and supplier performance programs.\nStrong understanding of procurement operating models, governance frameworks, and procurement best practices.\nExperience developing procurement capabilities, frameworks, methodologies, and training programs within a global organization.\nProven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across complex global matrix environments.\nStrong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on measurable business outcomes.\nExperience embedding sustainability, supplier risk management, and ESG considerations into procurement processes and decision-making.\nStrong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.\nDemonstrated ability to lead change, drive adoption, and build organizational capability across functions and geographies.\nBusiness proficiency in English required; additional languages are considered an asset.\nLocations\nLodz, PolandBase Salary Range:\nzł328,000.00 - zł451,000.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position.
