The position oversees central controllership activities across the business units and functions supported by the team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective stakeholder partnerships. The Senior Manager leads controllership initiatives, drives process improvement, standardization, and automation, and guides cross-functional teams toward shared objectives. The role also promotes a strong control environment, proactively identifies opportunities to strengthen controllership practices, and supports the continued expansion of the team’s capabilities.\nHow you will contribute:\nDeliver high-quality controllership activities across entities, business units, and functions while ensuring consistent execution while building strong relationships with key stakeholders.\nProvide oversight and review of financial statements and reporting to support accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards. Identify unusual trends, inconsistencies, and areas requiring further investigation, lead root cause analysis, and drive appropriate and timely resolution.\nOversee timely and high-quality P&L and Balance Sheet fluctuation analysis, challenging significant or unusual movements, ensuring underlying drivers are understood, and driving appropriate follow-up actions.\nStrengthen the internal control environment and support compliance with SOX, financial regulations, and operational standards by monitoring effectiveness, promoting consistent practices, addressing escalated matters and driving remediation of identified gaps and audit findings.\nOversee the review and resolution of segregation of duties conflicts, challenging business and system access requirements and partnering with stakeholders to recommend role changes, access redesign, or effective mitigating controls that reduce the risk and support compliance.\nContribute to the development and evolution of financial policies, procedures and standards, providing controllership expertise and promoting consistent application across the organization. \nLead complex and ad hoc controllership activities applying sound judgement to assess financial and operational implications, coordinate across stakeholders, and drive matters through resolution. \nDrive continuous improvement across controllership processes through standardization, simplification, process optimization and automation, identifying opportunities to strengthen controls while improving efficiency and scalability.\nMonitor financial systems and tools, including BlackLine and Workiva, to support compliance, completeness, and accuracy. Identify opportunities to expand functionality, automation, and standardization to strengthen controls, improve insights, and increase organizational efficiency.\nBuild strong partnerships across Finance and other functions, effectively engaging senior stakeholders and providing controllership insights and recommendations to influence decisions, resolve complex matters, and support business objectives.\nLead cross-functional teams and initiatives across organizational and reporting lines, influencing without direct authority to align priorities, establish accountability, navigate competing perspectives, and drive collaborative execution toward shared business objectives.\nLead, coach and develop team members, strengthen technical and analytical capabilities, encourage critical thinking and accountability, and foster a collaborative, high-performing controllership organization. \nSkills and qualifications:\nExpert in financial reporting, capable of ensuring accuracy and compliance in complex scenarios\nDevelop and implement financial policies, enhancing organizational financial practices\nEngages effectively with external stakeholders on major financial matters\nMentors junior staff, fostering a culture of engagement, capability building and professional growth\nProvides strategic insights to aid in decision-making at the senior management level\nEnsures compliance with company policy, financial regulations and standards\nOperates independently, managing complex financial and compliance tasks and projects\nDemonstrates leadership in financial operations, guiding teams and projects\nInnovates financial processes, contributing to the improvement of accounting systems\nAs an expert professional within the organization, you develop innovative solutions to complex problems aligned with organizational objectives. Your work involves addressing intricate issues, requiring in-depth analysis and judgment. You also engage with key contacts outside your expertise area and contribute to the development of new concepts and standards. Operating with considerable autonomy, you serve as a consultant to management and an external spokesperson on matters, often working independently and taking the lead on projects. Additionally, you play a role in training and mentoring junior staff.\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelors Degree in Accounting and 8+ years of accounting, finance, and/or internal controls experience gained in a shared services environment or Public Accounting Practice within a large multi-national organization\nIn depth understanding of controls and SOX compliance\nTechnically strong accounting (IFRS) and finance skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to solve problems and think creatively - capacity to provide pragmatic solutions and have the drive and leadership to implement ideas through to successful conclusion\nOptimize processes and drive improvements\nWorking with an international / global remit and within and across other cultures. \nFluency in English\nLocations\nLodz, PolandBase Salary Range:\nzł267,400.00 - zł367,730.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position.
