I further attest that all information I submit in my employment application is true to the best of my knowledge.\nJob Description\nAbout the role:\nAs a Supervisor, Quality Control, you will have a staff performing many biological, chemical, or physical analyses on pharmaceutical products (biologics and drugs) through all stages of the manufacturing process from incoming raw materials to finished goods and may include environmental monitoring programs. You may be applicable to QC Analytical or Microbiological testing, Compliance, QCMIS, or Laboratory Operations. You will be responsible for results regarding product quality and conformance to regulations and quality policies. In some instances, you will be responsible for a functional area and may not have team members.\nShift Details: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 12:00 PM-8:00 PM\nHow you will contribute:\nPlan and coordinate daily QC laboratory activities, schedules, and workloads to support testing and production requirements.\nOversee laboratory testing, inspections, and documentation to ensure compliance with established procedures, product specifications, and regulatory requirements.\nReview quality results and support product disposition, lot release, and resolution of quality concerns, as applicable.\nPartner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to resolve compliance issues, evaluate testing requirements, and maintain accurate procedures and controlled documentation.\nMonitor laboratory performance indicators, quality trends, and defects; prepare reports and communicate findings to management.\nMaintain laboratory procedures and documentation, support change controls and quality investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\nProvide floor support to manufacturing teams, identify procedural gaps, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues appropriately.\nSupport customer complaint investigations and responses, as well as periodic quality data reviews.\nLead, train, coach, and develop team members while coordinating activities and maintaining clear communication across personnel and departments.\nUse applicable laboratory and business systems, including LIMS, TrackWise, EBM, and related computer systems, to support quality operations and documentation.\nWhat you bring to Takeda:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.\nA minimum of 5 years of related or laboratory experience is required.\nExperience in biochemical, analytical, or related laboratory operations is preferred.\nExperience in a GMP-regulated or comparable regulated environment is strongly preferred.\nExperience with TrackWise and LIMS is required.\nPrevious supervisory, management, or team-leadership experience is preferred. Candidates with extensive laboratory experience and demonstrated leadership potential may also be considered.\nExperience coaching employees, providing feedback, and supporting employee development is preferred.\nStrong knowledge of laboratory procedures, documentation practices, quality requirements, and compliance expectations is preferred.\nStrong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are required.\nThe ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain accountability, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams is required.\nImportant Considerations:\nAt Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:\nIn general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work, standing work, and walking around observing conditions in the facility.\nMay work in a confined area.\nInside working conditions.\nSome clean room and cool/hot storage conditions.\nMay work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.\nWill need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.\nMay work in a cold, hot or wet environment.\nMay work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.\nMay work or be assigned to a different shift to meet needs.
