Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of accounting tasks, reconciliations, and period-end close activities in accordance with Group policies, internal controls, and reporting deadlines.\nSupport the integrity of accounting records by maintaining consistency between operational subledger activity, intercompany balances, inventory accounting, and GL postings. Contribute to efficient execution, standardization, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the R2R function.\nThe scope and complexity of responsibilities will be aligned with the successful candidate’s experience. More experienced candidates may take ownership of more complex accounting topics, independently resolve non-standard issues, and provide subject matter support to other team members.\nDevelop a digital mindset and openness to change by using available systems and tools effectively and identifying opportunities to simplify processes and reduce manual effort.\nACCOUNTABILITIES\nPerform month-end and year-end close activities within the R2R scope, including Inventory, Billing, Intercompany, and General Ledger.\nPrepare and post journal entries, recurring accounting adjustments, and corrections.\nProcess and verify inventory-related postings, stock movements, and reconciliations.\nSupport Billing and Intercompany transactions, including invoice processing, matching, reconciliation, and settlement of open items.\nReconcile balance sheet accounts, inventory-related accounts, intercompany balances, and GL accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.\nAnalyze differences between subledger activity and General Ledger balances and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.\nEnsure accurate and timely processing of transactions in line with accounting policies, internal controls, SLA requirements, and close deadlines.\nProvide documentation and support for audit and control activities.\nCooperate with internal stakeholders across Finance and the business to resolve accounting and operational issues.\nContribute to standardization, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of R2R processes.\nUse available digital tools effectively and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual activities.\nCORE ELEMENTS RELATED TO THIS ROLE\nUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.\nRelevant professional experience in accounting, preferably within R2R, General Ledger, Inventory, Billing, or Intercompany.\nExperience in a BPO / Shared Services environment would be an advantage.\nGood understanding of accounting principles and transaction flows across subledger and General Ledger.\nWorking knowledge of SAP and Excel.\nGood command of English.\nStrong attention to detail, accountability, and willingness to learn.\nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skills.\nGood communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.\nCustomer orientation and ability to work effectively under deadlines.\nDigital mindset and openness to continuous improvement.\nAbility to work independently within an assigned scope and escalate issues appropriately.\nADDITIONAL EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS\nIFRS knowledge preferred.\nACCA or similar accounting qualification would be an advantage, particularly for Senior Specialist candidates.\nKnowledge of BlackLine, Hyperion, and other reporting tools would be an asset.\nExperience with JD Edwards C3ME would be an advantage.\nSkills in macros, VBA, Power BI, Power Automate, RPA, or other automation and digital solutions would be an added value.\nDIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS\nTechnical / Functional (Line) Expertise:\nGood understanding of accounting principles and R2R processes, supported by working knowledge of SAP and Excel. Depending on seniority, broader expertise in BlackLine, reporting tools, complex reconciliations, and non-standard accounting topics may be expected.\nLeadership:\nNo formal people leadership responsibility. More experienced candidates may provide subject matter support, share knowledge, and contribute to capability building within the team.\nDecision-making and Autonomy:\nWorks independently within the assigned scope and established accounting procedures.
