In 2025, we accelerated our physical retail expansion with the opening of two London stores, Carnaby Street and Westfield White City, marking a major step in our long-term brand and community strategy.\nWe're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join TALA's finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with our outsourced accountant. You'll own the day-to-day rhythm that finance is built on, and do it accurately, on time, every month. It's a hands-on role at the heart of the numbers, in a fast-growing, product-led business where finance sits close to the action.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nMonth-end & management accounts\nDirect our outsourced accountants on month-end journals - accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll - and help close the books to a tight, predictable timetable.\n\nBuild sections of the monthly management accounts and reporting pack, with clear, insightful and action orientated commentary.\n\nSupport the other departments through the close and reporting cycle.\n\nAccounts payable & receivable\nAssist with processing supplier invoices, checking payment runs, and reconciling supplier statements, including multi-currency suppliers.\n\nSupport the receivables and credit-control side as wholesale grows, chasing partner invoices and querying credit notes.\n\nTrack supplier deposits, prepayments and payment terms against POs.\n\nInventory, cost & margin\nHelp maintain SKU-level landed cost (freight, duty) and accurate COGS as stock sells through.\n\nSupport margin reporting by product and by channel (DTC, retail, wholesale).\n\nBe a finance link into the buying/merchandising and operations teams on stock and cost.\n\nSystems & reporting\nWork day-to-day across Xero and Cin7, and the Shopify and Swap data flowing into them.\n\nKeep reporting accurate and timely and help improve routine tasks.\n\nSpot manual workarounds and make them faster and more reliable.\n\nMaintain a tidy audit trail and support internal and external audit requests.\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\nRecently commenced, or intending to commence, a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.\n\n2+ years’ experience working in an accounts department (desirable)\n\nGood understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and double entry.\n\nA proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and continually improve processes.\n\nStrong organisational skills and the ability to
