Many who started their careers with us have rapidly progressed to more senior positions.\nNo two days are the same, but we believe in a flexible approach to working which we know our employees value.\n Talan is seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect / Lead Consultant to support the delivery and development of strategic SAP engagements across the UK and Ireland.\nThis is a senior, client-facing role combining solution architecture, functional leadership, delivery oversight and account management. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them define, implement and optimise SAP solutions that support their business and technology objectives.\nThe role is suitable for an experienced SAP professional with strong expertise in one or more functional areas and the ability to work across complex enterprise environments, transformation programmes and multidisciplinary teams.\nResponsibilities\nClient and Account Leadership\nAct as a senior SAP advisor and primary point of contact for key clients.\nBuild strong relationships with business, technology and programme stakeholders.\nManage incoming requirements, assess priorities and coordinate the appropriate delivery resources.\nMaintain oversight of the engagement pipeline, utilisation and future client needs.\nIdentify opportunities to extend and strengthen existing client relationships.\nSolution Architecture and Functional Leadership\nLead solution assessments, requirements gathering and end-to-end SAP solution design.\nTranslate business requirements into scalable and practical SAP solutions.\nProvide functional leadership across one or more SAP domains.\nDefine solution roadmaps aligned with client strategy, enterprise architecture and SAP best practices.\nSupport SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, optimisation and continuous improvement programmes.\nPrepare statements of work, functional specifications and delivery estimates.\nDelivery and Quality Management\nLead functional workstreams across design, configuration, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.\nCoordinate functional consultants, technical teams, developers and integration specialists.\nEnsure the quality and consistency of project deliverables.\nManage delivery risks, dependencies and issues.\nSupport effective knowledge transfer and long-term client capability development.\nTeam and Practice Development\nManage, mentor and support SAP consultants.\nContribute to the development of Talan’s SAP capabilities, methodologies and reusable assets.\nSupport recruitment, capability building and knowledge-sharing initiatives.\nContribute to proposals, client presentations and pre-sales activities where required.\n Required Skills and Experience\nSignificant experience as an SAP Solution Architect / Lead Consultant.\nStrong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and enterprise SAP environments.\nDeep expertise in one or more SAP functional domains, including:Finance and Controlling\nProcurement and Materials Management\nSales and Distribution\nSupply Chain and Logistics\nManufacturing\nWarehouse Management\nAsset Management\nHuman Capital Management\nCustomer Experience\n\nExperience delivering SAP implementation, transformation or optimisation programmes.\nStrong understanding of business process design and solution architecture.\nExperience working within complex, multi-site or international organisations.\nExcellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.\nDesirable Skills and Experience\nSAP certification.\nExperience with SAP BTP, Fiori, Integration Suite or SAP Analytics Cloud.\nExperience leading large-scale or multi-vendor SAP programmes.\nKnowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.\nExperience supporting business development and pre-sales
