We do not support or transfer other visa types (e.g., H-1B).\nWe are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong Energy Trading expertise to support a major client in designing and delivering cloud-based data solutions. This role combines hands-on data engineering, product ownership, and stakeholder collaboration to drive scalable solutions and business efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities:\nData Engineering & Cloud Solutions:\nDesign, develop, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data models using Python and SQL.\nEnsure data quality, performance, reliability, and seamless integration across systems.\nProduct Ownership & Business Collaboration:\nCollaborate with Energy Trading, Assets, Operations, and IT teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.\nOwn and prioritize product backlogs, roadmaps, and releases while managing stakeholder expectations.\nData Strategy & Governance:\nImprove data architecture, governance, and cloud platform capabilities.\nApply best practices in Agile delivery, CI/CD, data quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.\n Bachelor degree in Computer science, Engineering, Energy, Finance or Quantitative finance\n5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, including cloud-based data pipelines and integration.\n2+ years of experience in Energy Trading, Energy Markets, Asset Management, or Energy Operations.\nStrong hands-on programming experience with Python and SQL.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nStrong understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling, workflow orchestration, and API integrations.\nExperience with data quality, governance, metadata, and data lineage.\nDemonstrated ability to manage business requirements, product backlogs, and delivery roadmaps.\nExperience collaborating directly with business stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams.\nStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with energy trading data, commodity markets, or Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems.\nFamiliarity with power and gas markets, trading positions, pricing, P&L, or asset-related data.\nExperience with modern cloud data platforms, data warehouses, or lakehouse architectures.\nKnowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps practices.\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale data transformation
