We do not support or transfer other visa types (e.g., H-1B). \nTalan is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - AWS / Python to support a key client in the energy trading industry.\nThe role focuses on designing, developing, deploying, and supporting secure, scalable cloud applications and data services supporting pre-trade, market data, pricing, and analytics. AWS is the primary cloud platform and Python the main development language.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild and support cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions on AWS.\nDevelop backend services and automation in Python.\nDesign services handling market data, pricing, analytics, and pre-trade workflows.\nImplement infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and observability.\nApply cloud security and secure software-development best practices.\nOptimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and AWS costs.\nLead technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture reviews.\nMentor junior and mid-level engineers.\n 10+ years of strong hands on, backend OOP development experience in event-driven and distributed backend services\n\n5+ years of developing complex Python applications involving high volume data processing, designing and developing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures\n\n5+ years of experience deploying Python application in AWS cloud environment (i.e. Kafka, Redis/ElastiCache, RDS/Aurora/S3)\n\nBachelor degree in
