Job Description

On-Call Availability (On-Call Shift System)

• Mandatory 24/7 On-Call Rotation: You will be required to participate in a rotating on-call shift schedule from Monday to Sunday.

• What this means: This does not mean you will be actively working 24/7 or during late-night shifts. Instead, you will be on standby outside of standard working hours, meaning you must be reachable and available to log in and resolve critical system incidents only if they arise.

• Frequency: The approximate rotation frequency is one full week (7 consecutive days) every 3 to 4 months, depending on the team's internal calendar.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Design and implement event-driven solutions with Apache Kafka.
• Build scalable and resilient backend services.
• Apply functional programming principles to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Participate in software design discussions and technical decision-making.
• Create and execute automated tests following TDD and/or BDD practices.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, and development teams in Agile (Scrum) environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best development practices.

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar software development role.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (mandatory).
• Strong experience with Java 8+
• Experience building microservices with Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of functional programming concepts.
• Experience with JPA.
• Experience with TDD and/or BDD testing methodologies.
• Software design knowledge and application of design principles.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and/or MongoDB.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• English level B2 or higher.

Nice to Have:

• Basic knowledge of Reactive Programming.
• Knowledge of API design/documentation and OpenAPI Specification 3 (OAS3).
• Any additional technical expertise that may add value to the project.
