In addition, the position will serve as a backup to the plant DCS (Distributed Control System) Engineer.\nThe Manager will work closely with facility staff, corporate NERC resources, and external regulators to maintain and improve the NERC compliance posture of Guernsey Power Station. In this role, you’ll do more than contribute you’ll drive meaningful change by:\nNERC CIP Program Implementation\nBES Cyber System Identification and Categorization\nElectronic Security Perimeters & Electronic Access\nAccess Management\nCybersecurity Management & System Security\nPhysical Security\nIncident Response & Recovery\nCompliance Monitoring & Internal Controls\nAudit & Regulatory Support\nFacility Support\nWhat You Have\nMinimum Requirements\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, three (3) years of NERC CIP Reliability Standard experience or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experienced may be considered.\nWorking knowledge of NERC CIP requirements and compliance concepts.\nAbility to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical operating controls and procedures.\nStrong documentation, analytical, organizational, and project-management skills.\nAbility to work effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.\nAbility to manage multiple recurring compliance obligations and deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPractical experience in power plant operations and maintenance is desired.\nExperience with NERC Reliability Standards, electric utility regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, power generation or related fields.\nKnowledge of network security, firewalls, remote access, Active Directory, vulnerability management, patch management, change management, anti-malware, configuration baselines, switches, routers, servers, Windows, and other security practices.\nExperience with generating-station OT environments, including DCS, PLC, SCADA, historian, network, and industrial control systems and incident response.\n Why Talen Energy?\nPower the Future\nTalen Energy is one of the largest competitive energy and power generation companies in North America.
