Our client performs work in some interesting places well worth visiting, and you might want in on that.\nThe Work:\nThe Mechanical Engineer will serve as a technical authority for our client. This individual will be a registered Professional Engineer and will lead facility engineering projects throughout the facility planning, design, construction, warranty, and operations lifecycle. The Mechanical Engineer will utilize their building design, construction and operations experience in complex mechanical systems to develop engineering solutions, ensure compliance, recommend best practices, and increase operational efficiencies for clients. The Mechanical Engineer will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments and supervises, coordinate, provide leadership to and review the work of assigned staff. Moreover, it exciting opportunity to make an impact in the growing markets of sustainability, resiliency and cybersecurity with mission critical facilities.\nPerform energy management, HVAC and life safety surveys, and facilities management evaluations and condition assessments\nPrepare feasibility studies for design and construction\nPrepare engineering or repair/replacement estimates and schedules\nPresent reports and explain findings to clients\nConduct design reviews, submittal reviews, reviews and facilitation of training plans, and O&M manual reviews\nPrepare mechanical design calculations; utilize mechanical design software\nWrite technical specifications and develop drawings and visual aids\nReview and provide comments on designs for configuration, reliability, redundancy\nReview equipment and controls technology selections and strategies\nReview and provide comments on equipment submittals, test reports, and manuals\nProvide quality assurance to ensure compliance with client criteria, codes, standards, and policies and procedures\nProvide equipment factory and field acceptance testing support\nDevelop testing, maintenance, lockout tagout, and safety procedures\nWork with senior leadership to grow our mechanical practice\nOversee any assigned staff\nBe responsible for the application of company policies\nHere's What You Need:\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required\nFE/EIT Required, Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred,\n5 years of direct experience in facilities mechanical systems such as HVAC, Plumbing (domestic water) systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and testing adjusting and balancing (TAB) is required\nExperience in a supervisory capacity is desired\nMust have a superior track record of client satisfaction in mission-critical facilities and a passion for analyzing, troubleshooting, optimizing, and upgrading integrated systems in aging facilities and campus environments\nMust possess an in-depth knowledge of LEED requirements and industry standards and practices i.e. ASHRAE, BCA, ACG, GSA\nThe successful candidate will be a Self-starter who initiates action and can work independently or with a team while providing multi-discipline coordination.\nEffective communication and reporting skills at all working and management levels are essential\nMust be a creative, innovative, and solutions-oriented thinker with the ability to understand and achieve goals and anticipate client needs\nExperience using AutoCAD and/or Micro Station to prepare design plans is required, energy modeling experience is desired\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nTalent Acquisition Concepts is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
