Rooted in the USMC values of honor, courage, and commitment, Terrestris seeks to deliver extraordinary values to the American people by helping the Government become more efficient and effective.\nSo, what will the Process Improvement, Knowledge, & Enterprise Risk Management Task Lead at Terrestris do?\nYou will provide Information Technology Governance Support to the Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA), Office of Consular Systems and Technology (CST). CST’s Information Technology Governance (ITG) Program is a decision-making framework for addressing several enterprise-level initiatives within CA/CST. You will assist CST’s ITG Program by ensuring the continued alignment of CA’s technology strategy with its business strategy, focusing on the links between business objectives and project objectives and developing, implementing, and maintaining ITG services by defining the processes that ensure the effective and efficient use of IT in enabling the organization to achieve its goals.\nWhat does a typical day look like for the Process Improvement, Knowledge, & Enterprise Risk Management Task Lead? \nThrough a combination of leadership and active participation you will:\nContinuously monitor SDLC related processes and provide CST insight into any areas that may require special attention. \nMake recommendations for process improvements and develop target-state process designs, develop implementation plans/roadmaps, and continually revise and report on process efficiencies and redundancies. \nDevelop and deliver updated process, policy and procedures documents. \nSupport CST’s Annual Statement of Assurance process documentation requirements \nConduct and document process evaluations against established performance metrics, recommend corrective actions, and conduct lessons-learned sessions. \nSupport the Government in monitoring project teams for adherence to policies and procedures.\nPerform all other Process Improvement activities as directed by the COR/GTM. \nReview CST’s current Knowledge Management processes and Systems, including SharePoint, as well as review existing knowledge management documentation with the view to making improvements.\nProvide support for SharePoint as a Knowledge Management tool. This shall include maintenance of SharePoint sites and repository/document management activities. \nRecommend improvements to CST’s Knowledge Management systems and develop and maintain related Knowledge Management Policies and Procedures documents. \nDevelop and administer automated workflows and manage related repositories. \nFacilitate lessons learned sessions and document lessons learned for distribution and storage and identify recommendations for further process improvement based on lessons learned; and, \nPerform other Knowledge Management activities as directed by the COR/GTM. \nProvide the necessary expertise to effectively support the Enterprise Risk Management GTM to ensure risks and issues are proactively identified, tracked, and mitigated. \nPerform implementation of a Risk Management Framework, Risk Identification, Assessment, Monitoring and Mitigation, Risk Reporting and Dashboards, Risk adjudication, weighting, and escalation, Root Cause Analyses, and Mitigation tracking. \nDevelop a Risk Management Plan which shall identify, evaluate, and categorize enterprise-level as well as critical project-related risks, and recommend and support a mitigation strategy. \nMonitor risks, take mitigation actions, and update the Risk Management plan as needed. \nSupport Capital Planning and Investment Control OMB risk reporting. \nRoutinely review risks and escalate as needed to GTM. \nAssist in developing executive Enterprise Risk presentations as part of the escalation of risks to senior management. \nDevelop and execute Risk Management Training as needed. \nSupport for CST’s Statement of Assurance submission process- coordinating with CA/C on Annual Risk Assessments, High-Risk process identification and documentation, identification and documentation of process risks and existing and new controls, and testing of the controls to determine if they operate effectively. \nWhat qualifications do you look for?\nYou might be the Candidate we’re looking for if you have:\nA current, active SECRET Clearance.\nA bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field\n5+ years of total work experience in IT governance, risk management, audit, compliance, business continuity plan management, or other related information security domains\n3+ years managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior-level management and stakeholders\nPrevious experience obtaining and maintaining compliance certifications/attestations for at least one of the following: PCI-DSS, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), or SOC 2 compliance\nStrong understanding of PCI-DSS, NIST CSF, and COBIT frameworks\nAdvanced comprehension of security and risk best practices and industry standards from a business, technical, and operational perspective\nProven experience leading and developing staff members\nAbility to maintain the highest level of confidentiality\nExcellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nWe’re Extra Impressed by:\nInformation Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification with a firm understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.\nStrong SharePoint and Knowledge Management experience\nWhat kind of benefits does Terrestris Offer? \nWe offer outstanding benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, a retirement plan, and a profit-sharing/bonus plan.
