The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent advocacy skills, and a background in construction or complex civil litigation.\nThe firm offers a collaborative environment, meaningful responsibility, remote work flexibility, competitive compensation, and annual performance-based bonus opportunities.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage construction litigation matters through all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through resolution and trial.\nDraft and argue pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and dispositive motions.\nTake and defend fact and expert witness depositions.\nPrepare for and participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.\nAnalyze construction contracts, specifications, change orders, project records, and related documentation.\nEvaluate claims, defenses, contractual obligations, and litigation risks.\nDevelop and execute effective litigation strategies tailored to client objectives.\nCollaborate with clients, experts, insurance representatives, opposing counsel, and witnesses.\nParticipate in trial preparation, including witness preparation and evidentiary analysis.\nIndependently manage assigned matters while working closely with partners and litigation teams.\nRequired Qualifications\nActive membership in the California State Bar in good standing.\nMinimum of 4 years of litigation experience.\nStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.\nExperience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice.\nAbility to independently manage litigation matters and deadlines.\nExcellent communication and client relationship skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience handling construction litigation matters.\nFamiliarity with construction contracts, project documentation, change orders, delay claims, defect claims, and other construction-related disputes.\nExperience representing contractors, subcontractors, developers, property owners, insurers, or other stakeholders in construction projects.\nBackground in complex civil litigation, including mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.\nCompensation & Benefits\n Base Salary: $165,000 - $225,000 annually\nAnnual performance bonus opportunities\nBillable-hour bonus opportunities\nRemote work flexibility\nComprehensive health insurance benefits\n401(k) plan with partial employer matching contribution\nProfessional and collaborative work environment\nMeaningful opportunities for career development and advancement\nActual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.\nThe ideal candidate will possess at least four years of litigation experience, be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar, and have experience in construction litigation or complex civil litigation.
