You will combine approximately 50% technical / hands-on responsibility with 50% team leadership, leading an established team responsible for critical Microsoft infrastructure supporting a 24/7 operational environment.\nThe Opportunity:\nYou will lead 7 System Engineers, taking responsibility for the continued development, stability, security and operation of the organisation's Microsoft platforms.\nYour environment will include:\nWindows Server Infrastructure\nActive Directory\nMicrosoft Azure\nEntra ID & Identity and Access Management\nOkta\nMicrosoft 365 & Teams\nIntune / SCCM\nModern Workplace / Client Infrastructure\nAlongside leading and developing the team, you will remain technically close to the environment - contributing to projects, supporting complex technical issues and helping shape the future architecture and technology roadmap.\nWhat You will Be Doing:\nLead, coach and develop an experienced infrastructure engineering team\nRemain approximately 50% hands-on / technically involved\nDrive the evolution of Microsoft, Windows, IAM and Modern Workplace platforms\nEnsure highly available, secure and compliant infrastructure for a 24/7 environment\nContribute technical expertise to major infrastructure projects\nSupport the resolution of complex technical challenges\nWork closely with internal stakeholders and specialist teams\nTake responsibility for budgets, external specialists and technology procurement\nHelp evaluate and introduce new technologies\nWhat We are Looking For:\nYou will ideally bring:\nStrong experience across Microsoft / Windows Infrastructure\nKnowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft client technologies and/or Azure\nPrevious technical team leadership / people management experience\nThe ability and desire to remain technically involved\nStrong communication, stakeholder management and consulting skills\nDegree-level education in Computer Science / IT or comparable background\nFluent
