a fantastic opportunity.\n What you will be doing\nDesign, engineer and operate enterprise database platforms (primarily Microsoft SQL Server)\nEnsure high availability, performance, security and reliability across mission-critical systems\nLead database lifecycle projects including upgrades, migrations and platform improvements\nDefine technical architectures and infrastructure solutions\nOptimise performance, monitoring, disaster recovery and security\nProvide technical consulting to internal stakeholders\nCollaborate closely with application and integration teams\nParticipate in an on-call rotation supporting highly available production platforms\nWhat we are looking for\n5+ years' experience in Database Engineering / Database Administration\nStrong expertise with Microsoft SQL Server\nExperience with:\nAlwaysOn Availability Groups\nPerformance tuning\nDatabase security\nDisaster Recovery\nUpgrades & lifecycle management\nGood scripting knowledge (T-SQL and/or PowerShell)\nExperience with Azure SQL Database or Azure SQL Managed Instance would be highly beneficial\nExposure to MariaDB, Oracle or other database technologies is
