With the global growth of Constellation as the wind in our sails, we are only just getting started!\nWe're hiring a senior developer to help build our new web products, from the user interface to the services and database behind it. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who already uses AI tools every day and wants to help shape how a modern product team works.\nWe're adopting an AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC) approach, where AI takes on more of the planning and building while engineers set direction, review the work, and make the decisions that matter. You'll help us do this well: shipping quality product, keeping human judgment in the right places, and sharing what works with the team.\nYou'll report to our Dev Manager and work with the Modernization development team, with Product, and with Infrastructure & IT on deployment and cloud needs.\nOur tech stack\nBack end: .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core APIs \nFront end: React, TypeScript \nData: SQL Server \nCloud: Azure \nDelivery and tooling: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Linear, Claude Code \nWhat you'll accomplish in your first year\nFirst 90 days: Get up to speed on our codebase and architecture. Ship your first features with Claude Code inside an AI-DLC workflow, with clear review in GitHub. Start sharing what works with the team. \nBy 6 months: Own a significant feature area from planning through release. Help the Modernization team set consistent practices for AI-assisted development, including how we use Claude Code, review AI-generated code, and track work in Linear. \nBy 12 months: Lead design decisions for major parts of the new web products, including data model design and database performance. Help the team grow its AI-DLC practice. \n\nResponsibilities\nProduct development\nDesign, build, and test features across the full stack: back-end APIs, the data layer, and the user interface. \nTurn product requirements into clear, buildable work with Product and the Dev Manager. \nKeep code clean, tested, and maintainable, so the next engineer can work in it with confidence. \nAI-assisted development\nUse Claude Code as a regular part of your daily work: planning, implementation, tests, refactoring, and code review. \nApply AI-DLC practices, with AI handling much of the planning and building and clear human checkpoints. \nReview AI-generated code critically, and catch mistakes before they reach production. \nHelp create shared team guidance, such as reusable instructions, workflows, and standards for AI-assisted work. \nCollaboration and delivery\nWork in GitHub for source control, branching, pull requests, and code review. \nTrack work in Linear, keeping status current and scope clear. \nPartner with Infrastructure & IT on deployments, environments, and production issues. \nMentor teammates and raise the bar on code quality and design. \n\nRequired qualifications\n6+ years of professional software development, including at least 3 years building production APIs and services in C# and ASP.NET Core. \nHands-on experience building production user interfaces in React and TypeScript. \nStrong database skills in SQL Server, including schema design, complex queries, and performance tuning. \nExperience writing automated tests for back-end and front-end code, such as xUnit and Vitest. \nDaily, hands-on use of Claude Code or a comparable agentic coding tool, with examples you can walk us through. \nA working understanding of AI-DLC and how it changes planning, review, and team workflows. \nStrong Git and GitHub experience, including pull requests and code review. \nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions. \nSenior-level ownership: you can scope work, make tradeoffs, and see a feature through to release. \nGood judgment about where AI helps and where it doesn't, with a habit of testing and verifying AI output. \nNice to have\nExperience moving customers or products from legacy desktop software to web applications. \nExperience building AI-assisted workflows for a team, such as custom skills, agents, or MCP integrations. \nExperience with Linear or similar work-tracking tools. \nAzure experience, since our cloud environment runs on Azure. \nExperience choosing and adopting proven open-source libraries and tools, so we move faster and only write the code we truly need. \nEnough Terraform to read our infrastructure code and make small changes alongside our infrastructure team. \nFamiliarity with OAuth and OpenID Connect (OIDC) for authentication and authorization. \nExperience working in a monorepo. \nExperience with end-to-end and browser testing, such as Playwright. \nExperience at a company with long-lived products that are being modernized. \nExciting Benefits we offer:\nMarket-leading Salary\nMedical Coverage - Self & Dependents\nParents Medical Coverage\nProvident Fund\nEmployee Performance-based bonuses\nHome Internet Subsidy\nConveyance Allowance\nProfit Sharing Plan [Tenured Employees Only]\nLife Benefit\nChild Care Facility\nCompany Provided Lunch/Dinner\nProfessional Development Budget\nRecreational area for in-house games\nSporadic On-shore training opportunities\nFriendly work environment\nLeave Encashment\nDisclaimer: At Contour, we attribute our success to the unique contributions of our diverse staff.
