and clients across multiple international markets.\nYou'll play a key role in helping innovative businesses protect, develop, and maximize the value of their intellectual property portfolios, supporting companies from early-stage ventures through to global market leaders.\nThe Opportunity\nJoining a highly regarded patent team, you will gain broad exposure to sophisticated patent matters and work directly with experienced partners, associates and clients on a range of strategic IP projects.\nYour work will include:\nDrafting high-quality patent applications across a diverse range of technologies\nManaging prosecution before the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO), European Patent Office (EPO), and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)\nAdvising clients on patent portfolio development and IP strategy\nConducting freedom-to-operate and patentability assessments\nSupporting IP due diligence for financing rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions\nAssisting with contentious patent matters, including oppositions and appeals\nWorking directly with innovative technology businesses at various stages of growth\nCollaborating with international colleagues on cross-border patent matters\nThis role offers significant responsibility, client exposure, and the opportunity to develop your practice within a supportive and entrepreneurial environment.\nEssential Requirements\nDual-qualified UK & European Patent Attorney\n1-3 years' post-qualification experience (PQE)\nStrong patent drafting and prosecution experience before the EPO and/or UKIPO\nAbility to manage matters with an appropriate level of independence\nExperience across engineering, software, electronics, AI, or other high-tech subject areas\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities\nCommercial mindset and ability to provide practical client-focused advice\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under deadline pressure\nCollaborative, proactive and team-oriented approach\nDesirable Experience\nSoftware and artificial intelligence technologies\nBioinformatics or computational life sciences applications\nPatent oppositions and appeals\nBusiness development and client relationship management\nInterest in contributing to thought
